Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

A few guards seem to be heading down a staircase in the wall, going into the palace.

Five minutes later, people in areas surrounding the palace seem to begin leaving.

 

Emerald tries linking with Shadow Stephanie.
"You won't tell him, right?" She asks. "It took a whole lot to convince Xlentia to come back here after she laid on a house."

 

"I've held off telling him for a day, even though he seemed slightly disappointed nothing seemed to have happened apart from him ageing a year." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Well, even Sivius got something for him, but he said he couldn't come. Hopefully he likes this... I just wish we could've given him the gift of his best friend back."

 

"You mean Ihra? Or am I missing someone here?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Yes, Ihra."

 

"Well, we've got the prophets heart last I heard, Ragnyon's just recovering from the surgery. Hopefully Ihra can be brought back soon." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Sounds like we're all on track, then. Well... you coming down for the party?"

 

"When it starts." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"We're already almost set up. Sapphire's just cloaking it all."

 

"I'll be there when Aj is then. It's only a short walk anyway." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Sounds good."


Peridot checks for any more challengers.

 

Nobody seems to have come, though a few people seem to be working on setting up a large event in the arena.

 

Curious, he walks over there.


A massive portal opens up as Xlentia peers through, looking for open areas to plant her feet and tail.

 

A few air guardians and Shadows appear to be putting up large posters with pictures of Peridot on them, while some Earth Guardians appear to be setting up a metal frame around the edges of the arena and embedding crystals into it.


There seems to be quite a few empty fields that would fit Xlentia's size, nobody occupying them.

 

He heads back over into the arena, scanning the frame and crystals.


She situates herself so her head is near the palace gate, though she turns her neck to look at the rest of the city while she waits.

 

The frame appears to be mainly to fit the crystals, charged with potent shield magic to presumably protect the crowds.


A lot of the city looks barren an empty, however the further away the city is from Xlentia the more people appear to be inhabiting it.

 

Peridot idles in the middle of the arena.


Xlentia eventually smiles.
"Okay... he should be here soon, right?"
"It's been twenty minutes..."
"That's probably how long I can put up with you, you coward."
"Shut up, you two. This isn't the time."
"I feel like we're missing someone, though."
"Eh, she's dead, don't worry about it."

 

I appear a minute later with Artemis, Katie and Angela, and Stephanie and Shadow Stephanie leave the palace and join the group.

"So...What's going on?" I ask.

 

Emerald smiles.
"Well, we kind of had Alice do a little snooping about you." She says.
"Hey, don't throw me under the bus! I'm gonna get fuckin' executed!" She scowls.
"Oh, come on. Don't ruin the mood." Xlentia says, taking a deep breath.

"So, anyways..."


A table with gifts stacked on top of them and another table with two cakes, one made out of gold and diamonds, sit behind the group of draconians as Rineth emerges from a portal behind the tables.

"Happy belated birthday!" They all say in unison.
