Well, that is correct for the most part, however, the source which is still alive is locked in the stone. Unless he gets out of it, he can not lay seeds and continue with the corruption

Orphion is the god of the Light Realm, so he's the polar opposite of the source. The source is still spreading even when Orphion was sealed, so it's not him. He might break out eventually if he is fully corrupted by the parasite, but it'll still continue without him.

The parasite can jump realms, thats how they got into the RoL in the first place. Since helayed the seeds of corruption, and he ultimately started it in the RoL, he is the source.

However, he went into Orphion, which caused him to go crazy, and so he was sealed off, meaning the source is sealed off also.

That still doesn't explain the ongoing corruption in Wynn or decay in Gavel or the corruption in the RoL after Orphion was sealed. The parasite that infected Orphion is probably one of the many that are around the seeds. So if Orphiom was sealed, why did the corruption/decay still spread?

Also, that the one Corkus quest with the patriots mentioned that the player doesn't know the real name of the source of the corruption. So it can't be the parasite that infected Orphion.

what I'm saying is that the player stops corruption in the RoL, I never said it was stopped in the main realm
    ________________________________
He says that the player doesn't know who the real enemy is, which is likely Fruma, but could be the corruption. I think it is a spoiller to a follow-up update to give the player suspension

The patriot leader said something along the lines of "the enemy that plagues your province" Fruma never invaded Wynn, so they are ruled out. Again, the corruption is related to all realms, hence why they started around the same time. And that still doesn't answer why the parasites in the RoL don't die off or any of the corrupted structures disappeared. If we truly stopped the corruption, it would affect all realms, not just one.

Tbh the Corkus quest doesn't have anything to do with magic and corruption, it's more political, the real enemy is either fruma's monarchy, Wynn's oligarchy, Gavel's companies, or all of them

The closest thing here to plaques are "The reason for the war on your land" which is an obliviously vague statement.

The most likely answer is the fight between the 2 predominant forces, the light and the dark. However, the enemy in this case wouldn't be a person or an object.
    ________________________________
Well, "The reason for the war on your land" wouldn't be political, because he is talking about corruption

Well, the true enemy is most likely the Eye, which is the predominant icon for the Darkness, which caused half of the corruption, but is not the corruption itself

right right i see your point

except i don't, because you haven't made one
Please keep in mind that Wynn doesn't actually have a storyline yet. Every Quest as of right now is the equivalent of your typical side-quests, save for perhaps ToL and WynnEx.
While you're right about the content, it's more because the game was released before being even close to finished than because it's worked on by volunteers. The admins have been planning at least up to Gavel for several years now, so I don't think it's grown much larger than they expected. Think of the game more as early access than unpolished due to lack of a paid workforce.
Well, it's more like they stumble in to people and situations, that, if followed through, lead to conflict, but this is mostly true. Despite that, I'd like to reiterate that there's not much else to do. As I said before, you can't fight a portal. All you can do to fight against the corruption is aid people and fight mobs.
True, but the lack of tension is due to CoW being sealed away in his cave, not him just chilling. I believe there's some old bits of lore about his wreaking havoc on the province of Wynn, but that might just be me making connections that aren't really there.
This one can be partly explained by the introduction of Gavel. Before then, killing CoW was the essentially the end of the game. After that, there was just grinding to 75 in ToL and, if you wanted, the "secret" boss of Bob. Now, there's more stuff to do past 68 in Wynn, but killing CoW remains in the same area. Despite that not making it a-ok, I don't see how the conflict isn't resolved: CoW is dead. He's not the source of the corruption, if that's what you meant by the conflict. He's just a miner that got beefed up and corrupted by the Nether, and was sealed away before you were tasked to kill him. Killing him is simply ridding the world of a powerful foe, which is still pretty important lorewise. As for going back to doing whatever you want, I don't see why you wouldn't after killing him.
What, do you expect random soldier NPCs to be constantly going from Wynn to Gavel? The player isn't given any instructions, again because they're the equivalent of freelance soldiers. They go where they're needed. Since Gavel's an ally of Wynn, it makes perfect sense for us to go to their aid now that their borders are open. Here's an interesting line from the trailer for Gavel: "As the war of Corruption begins to fade in Wynn, the Villagers are opening their doors." In terms of the storyline, the release of Gavel marks the beginning of the end of the Corruption war. It's not going to be as simple as a quest signaling the end of the war, because it's not a singleplayer RPG, and it's open world. You can go wherever, so it's not like defeating CoW is the only way to get access to Gavel. The heroes as a whole have ended the war. Not gotten rid of the Corruption entirely, but it's not killing the province anymore. As such, they're free to search for other goals: aid their ally with their problems, or stick around in Wynn.
Gavel's military authorities wouldn't have any power over Wynnic soldiers anyway, though, nor would they really have a reason to command them. I'll concede that, as far as I can find, the players aren't directly asked to help with the decay. I don't think that's a huge issue, though, seeing as how Gavel's government would just request Wynn for aid rather than ask the soldiers directly. For a bit more reasoning, it's almost a given that the opening of their borders means they want help, considering they've been closed for a thousand years.
It's safe to assume that that's simply because you were welcomed to the province by Ragni's King, as well as put to work by him, as I said.

Boy this sort of long post is normally reserved for suggestions

Perhaps they will flesh all of this out in the future. I guess it's not really fair to discuss this in depth into the lore when it's not even anywhere near completed yet. I just hope the storyline will be interesting and not the quests we got from Gavel.

This is a good point, and probably more worth raising than anything else. Asking for plotholes to be fixed before we've actually got a proper storyline isn't going to help much.

I definitely wouldn't worry about the storyline being interesting, though. We've gotten glimpses of what it could be like, and it seems to be quite exciting.

Agreed, I'm not asking for an elder scrolls level, but somewhere along the lines of Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door or at least Hollow Knight. With how Corkus was, I got good hopes :)

If you dont have enough of a backbone to take a half-rude sentence, it's better for people to be rude to you so that you grow a backbone.

Maybe next time someone is rude to you, you won't feel as offended.
