    Here's the situation, basically:

The Decay is messing them up real bad, so they put out a call for help and open their borders. Wynn, being the nice province they are, sends soldiers and adventurers to help out.

    Yes, we do.
In the Nether, at least (PvP).
We can't in the overworld because of game mechanics.

No, Corkus is clearly America. Settled from over the sea by refugees in an oppressive system, who then proceed to form an industrialised nation and force the natives into small areas, then build up armies to intervene in foreign wars. There are patriots who want nothing to do with these wars and they aim to become a superpower. Corkus is America in about 1915.

The other provinces show no clear conections like this, but I think it's fairly clear that the two continents are Gavel and Fruma/Wynn/Dern. The ocean is an opportunity for lots of different real-world comparisons, given that each island has a different thing going on.

In most video games, or stories really, the player learns about the world and its conflict throughout the game. Then the game ends when the conflict is resolved. Pretty straight forward. In Wynncraft, because the content team is made up of unpaid volunteers and even the admins didn't expect the game to get this far, the content is mostly made of unrelated side quests. The player doesn't do what any generals or kings or commanders tell them to do most of the time, and happens to stumble upon the conflict 99% of the time. The closest thing to directly fighting the corruption is killing CoW, which doesn't really solve anything. There's no tension either because CoW was just staying in his cave the whole time and he wasn't about to kill more people or attack Troms or something. Given the conflict isn't resolved and the quest is lvl 68, killing CoW is just brushed off and the player just keeps doing whatever like they did b4.
    ________________________________
Wynn never directly sends soldiers to Gavel. The player is never given any instructions by the King of Ragni or any authority to go there. In fact, our only task was to fight the corruption by defending Wynn, so we shouldn't even be in Gavel in the first place. We don't even get any instructions by the authorities of Gavel to stop the decay either. Heck, nobody even knows who are the authorities. The whole time it's just the player exploring and stumbling upon random NPCs.

Ok that proves my point that Fruma either has no idea what its doing with its men or the devs need to fix this

I feel like wynncraft should be reset and turn in to a game that doesnt need MC to actually play, but be a game of it's own like Runescape for example, Yes I know this would be hard and take a long time but I feel like its needed so the code is just clean and not messy, they get professional coders or what ever there called who are paid to make the game and they can plan out the game come up with an idea of how far they want to go with this game and more.

People have tossed around that idea b4, and Kickstarter does exist so it could be possible. It's just that it's a huge risk the admins have to take, especially since a lot of MMOs have been hit hard in the last couple of years. Plus the game would probably be unrecognizable since a lot of the content and mechanics are built around mine craft.

I've never read a stupid question like this in a long time

Most likely, we did try, but failed. The portal is huge, and the only build to equal size built by humans is the Door of Time, and if we slapped that on the portal it would probably by destroyed instantaneously be all the pigmen in the area

And it is like bedrock, the material the portal is made out of is superior to stone or whatever humans use.

Why do you think none of the portals bridge was mined while all the nether stone around it has been mined?

He probably means why we haven't tried to stop the threat that's inside the portal and has caused all the corruption. The short answer is that the game is incomplete :-/

CoW isn't the problem, he was simply a side-effect of the corruption. Like I said b4, killing him doesn't stop the corruption, so he's not the source.

The player is sent to the light realm in RoL to stop the corruption that has spread there

If they were to add a quest where you stop the corruption and the world is a happy place once again, the game would become shit

We don't end up stopping the corruption in the Realm of Light. And yes, they should have an end to the game since it's an RPG. Maybe not exactly like that, but it has to at least solve the conflict. Plus there are always pvp and guilds (if they weren't crap and broken).

The point of having an end or some sort of resolution is to add tension to the game and make it interesting. 90% of the quests you don't give a crap about what happens because it's either insignificant, unresolved, boring, unrelated to anything else, or all of them.

    However, we pause it.

The corruption doesnt continue after we have destroyed the seed, and killed the 2 monsters who are causing it.

As for the parasites who have over taken Orphion, they are sealed in the stone and can not escape.

Not necessarily. The monsters that plague the realm of light still spawn and the corrupted structures don't go away. Although we might have slowed down the corruption, it's still everywhere and probably going to keep growing. Again, the two monsters we kill aren't the source, just another by-product. The few seeds that we are able to destroy only further spread the corruption, not stop of the real source or reverse it.
