"Thanks."
Sapphire reaches out to Artemis, on the spot.
"Hello?"


"Louis, come on. Go pick a book. If you can read it, then this is real."

 

"Uh, yeah?" Artemis asks, sounding distracted.


Louis nervously walks over to a random book and takes it out, trying to read it.

 

"Is Aj with you?"


It's titled "Draconian Knowledge 101 - Learning Dacori and Common Tongue"
Inside are full lessons on how to learn Dacori, and in the second half are similar lessons written in Dacori on how to learn the Common Tongue.

 

"No, why do you ask?" Artemis asks.


Louis just drops the book, looking around in shock again.

 

"Xlentia wants to talk to him, and she's kind of ignoring Emerald."


"Do you accept the fact this is real now?" Alice thinks, the book levitating and putting itself back on the shelf.

 

"Oh, well I think he was with Stephanie on a mission or something, you could probably go look for her or something." Artemis says hastily, sounding distracted.


"I...What...How..." Louis mumbles.

 

"Sure."
Sapphire tries linking to you.


"This is my home. This is where I am from, before I became a shadow. However, you have not seen the goddess yet."

 

Sapphire can only make a weak connection.

"He-lo?" I ask, my voice quiet through the connection.


"G-G...Gah..." Louis says, his body starting to enter an unconscious state.

 

"Can you return to the shadow realm soon? Xlentia felt like paying you an in-person visit and isn't thrilled with your absence."


Alice does her best to keep Louis conscious.

 

"-uh? C-n't, -on -AGH!" I say through the weak connection before it cuts out.


Louis ends up falling over, limp yet just conscious.

 

Sapphire sighs, trying to connect with Stephanie and seeing if the link is just as weak.


Alice stops empowering him and carries him back through the portal, Sgavrinn offering flowers with stimulating aromas to help bring him back to his senses.

 

She can't seem to even telepathically locate Stephanie.


Louis eventually comes to after a quarter of an hour, rubbing his head.

 

She then tries linking to Shadow Stephanie.


Alice offers him a cup of tea.
"I'm really sorry about that." She sighs.

 

"Yo yo." Shadow Stephanie says casually.


"What just happened?" Louis asks, confused as he sips the tea.

 

"Hey, do you know where Aj went off to? Emerald prepared a surprise party for him since Alice leaked his birthday to us."


"You visited the library, and then passed out before you got to the goddess."

 

"Oh right, it's like today isn't it? Yeah, he went off to hunt dragons or something with Stephanie." Shadow Stephanie says.


"What?" Louis asks, confused, "So...that was all real?"

 

"You know hunting dragons isn't popular with us, right?"


"As I said before, yes. That was all real."

 

"Well he didn't specifically say hunt. He said he wanted to go looking for one." Shadow Stephanie says.


Louis just sits where he is, drinking his tea and taking it all in.

 

Getting out of the way, Crystal stops the coin by raising the earth in front of it.
