they are kinda less glassy but less powerful versions of a dark channeler

 

definitely one way to think
"this armor has xp and loot bonus must be bad"
"my build is better than any other build"

 

im not saying its bad because it has xp and loot bonus, its bad because its main aspect is xp and loot bonus and the other buffs are really minor, the build is better with vaward/dark channeler

and what

trading almost 1k damage for 30% defense is worth it

 

yes im sure he used those leggings because he wanted the xp and loot bonus definitely no other reason

 

but these "other reasons" are basically 15% water damage, 525 more hp, 20% more air/earth defense and 1 more mana steal?
when dark channeler gives 1k more damage and 2 more mana regen?
