Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Louis looks up.

"Oh, morning Alice!" Louis says, smiling.

 

"I, uh, came to apologize about the dragon. I'm trying to send him home, but I didn't know everyone feared them here." Alice admits.

"Void Palace."

 

"Oh. In the bunk room?"

 

"Yeah. Unlike most that sleep there, I don't live there."

 

"Are there like, living spaces in the Void Palace?"

 

"Each bunk has some storage, and there's an indent in the walls where people can put personal belongings in. I could show you mine if you want."

 

"Okay. But why don't you just keep everything here?"

 

"Mostly because people don't want explosives under their mattresses, and the beds don't suck."

 

"Fair enough."

 

"Now... I have a question for you, if you don't mind answering it."

 

"What's that?"
Crystal asks, the vial pretty much inside his hand by now.

 

"Ah. Well, thank you, Alice. Dragons are quite a rare occurrence, and they're generally not very friendly. It's a little scary to see one walking through the town." Louis explains.

 

"This one's different, I promise... then again, it seems a lot of people don't believe me when I tell them things." She says. "He's well trained, though. Gift to a forest guardian, and has lived with her since."

"You're the only one who regularly visits Xlentia. Why?"

 

"I'll believe you. He hasn't caused trouble yet, so he can stay with you." Louis says.

 

"Thanks, but he is going back in a few days. He just... has a tendency to act like a dog." Alice giggles.
"I, uh... have something else on my mind, too, if you're willing to hear me out."

 

Louis raises an eyebrow.

 

"If I told you I came from a different reality, would you believe me?"

 

"I'd say you were trying to fool me." Louis says.

 

Alice nods, sighing.
"I feared as much...

...what if I told you that your goddess could verify my claim?"

 

"Goddess? You mean Mother Gaia?" Louis asks.
