Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The girl is gone, the river tugging at Sgavrinn.

 

He eventually gets pulled with the current.

 

Sgavrinn notices the waterfall at the end of the river approaching; it might be a good idea to get out of the river before he reaches it.

 

"Oh. You've uhh... tested that?"

 

To his dismay, he can't get out in time.

"Yep."

 

The water mysteriously stops around Sgavrinn near to the waterfall, allowing him to easily get out.

 

"Did you get hurt?"
Crystal asks, putting the vials back on the shelf.

 

Scared, he quickly scrambles out before flopping over on the ground, panicking as he sputters a bit.

"Scales regrow... but yes. I was kind of missing half of my face for a while."

 

"Oh, wow..."
Crystal grabs two more vials, one yellow and the other red.
"What about these two?"

 

The water flows normally again after Sgavrinn exits, though nobody seems to be around.

 

Sgavrinn grows a few flowers on the river edge after he stops hyperventillating.


Alice later drops a large tourmaline gem at the bottom of the river, carved in the shape of a peace sign.

"Fire and electricity bases. Go ahead and find out."

 

The gem sinks into the dirt a bit, but doesn't move too much.

 

Alice smiles, heading back home for the night as she leaves Sgavrinn outside with a towel.

 

Crystal starts towards the cauldron, but realizes something and looks back at the shelf for empty flasks.

 

Linoa slides a flexible conveyor belt with empty flasks towards Crystal.
"Good remembering."

 

"Well I'm not going to pour it into my hand."
Crystal smiles, taking an empty flask and heading over to the cauldron.

 

There's a few crickets outside at night, though Alice can barely hear them with the windows shut.

 

"Better remembering."

The cauldron bubbles with a thick black substance.

She cracks a window open so she can, relaxing as she watches the moon rise and fall.

Sgavrinn sleeps through the night, though he didn't bother to get the towel off his face.

 

Alice notices a slight glow coming from the lower area of the mountainside, a few bats visible flying out from the cave because of it.

 

She cloaks, peeking over the edge of the roof of the cave.
