Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

April nervously pets Sgavrinn.

 

His breathing eases up, slowly turning into quiet humming.
"I take it you don't have a good history with dragons? Apparently not enough to hate a half-dragon like me..."

 

"You're a Shadow, aren't you?" April asks, confused.

"Dragons are pretty viscous. If one attacked town, I don't think many of us would survive." The blond haired teenager says, a little worried at the thought.

 

"I was a draconian, cursed to a shadow body. Lady Tenebrae was gracious enough to kill me and turn me into a shadow."

 

April and the blond teenager just look at Alice like she's speaking another language.

 

"I... have a long history. If you don't mind coming inside my house, I'll tell you everything." She offers.

 

"I don't mean to sound rude, but I don't think we'd understand it." The blond haired teenager says.

 

"Understandable. All you need to understand is this... I'm about as old as your planet, and I am extremely powerful." Alice says.

 

"Uh, ok." April says, clearly unbelieving but not wanting to drag on the explanations.

 

She notices that half of Crystal is on the underside of the staff.
"Yeah... though it's pretty nice watching everything fly by."

 

Alice rolls her eyes.
"Whatever. Just do whatever you need to do to trust Sgavrinn. He's just been fed too, so don't worry about getting bit."

"True." She says, not paying too much attention.

 

"Ok..." April says, still a little nervous.

 

Sgavrinn licks April's hand, laying low to the ground with wide-open eyes, still nervous.

 

The blond haired teenager pets Sgavrinn cautiously.

 

He hums.
"I brought him over hoping to give you a dragon ride."

 

"We did fly out pretty dang far, though..."

 

"Wh-Wha!? A dragon ride!?" April asks, shocked.

 

"You said you missed the view of the Skyrail, so I thought I could maybe give you a gift. Besides, it's clear you only believe half of what I say, so I figured actually bringing a dragon would make me seem more honest."

"Clearly."

 

Crystal looks out into the horizon to check if land is visible.

 

Barely, but it's still a ways out.
"I'm really regretting going this far out."
