Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Alice notices a girl with long turquoise hair and matching colour eyes talking to the fisherman when she exits, looking panicked. She seems to have strange armour on, looking fish-scaled like Katie's but a light shade of green rather than blue. She seems to be carrying a familiar looking fishing spear with a golden head, though once she notices Alice she dives into the stream and swims away.

 

Alice creates a slowing distortion field in the water ahead of her path as she rushes to catch up.
"Oh, not this time!" She shouts, irritated.

 

The girl keeps swimming through the field, slowed down but still fast.

It'll be quite hard to reach her considering she's passed the riverbank.

 

Alice undoes the first distortion and then distorts the water out of the bottom of the waterfall, aiming to pin her between the pond and there as she continues her pursuit.

 

Distorting the water at the bottom of the waterfall doesn't do much, considering it's nowhere near to her. After undoing the distortion, the girl quickly swims into the lake in the upper more mountainous area, forcing Alice to go around to get to it.

 

"Alright! I kinda wanna look with you though."

 

Furious, Alice lets her go, heading home seething with anger.

"Of course! You want to start somewhere else, or start with the islands?"

 

Gail notices Alice on the way home, but seeing her anger, decides to avoid her.

Alice's home is how she left it, barring the fact a bird seems to be perched on her roof, chirping.

 

Half an hour later, she's sitting on her porch drinking tea, trying to calm down.

 

A squirrel runs about some trees near to Alice's home, running up one and stopping halfway to look at Alice, before disappearing in the leafy confines of the tree.

 

Alice smiles a bit, calming down as she lets the view take her mind off her frustration.

 

"Let's just start with the islands."
Crystal smiles.

 

Linoa starts the long trip back.
"I wonder just how far out we flew..."

 

The view is enough to distract Alice from most things, serene and stunning.

 

After a few hours, she checks her yard or for anyone looking at her.

 

Nobodies looking at her, apart from a few birds that fly away, that is.

 

Alice spends her time inside until sunset, leaving some warm mint tea on her porch along with a note that just has the peace sign sitting beside it.
After this, she spends her time in the cave below her house, trying to figure out just how well she can blend into the nighttime darkness.

 

There's an orange and a small cluster of juicy looking blackberries in the cave this time, probably dropped by the bats. They seem relatively untouched.

 

"Yeah... we've been flying for a while now."

 

Alice checks the crystal she left to see if it scanned any souls passing by, other than her own.

"Hours, minimum. Ocean's the only thing visible on the horizon, too..."
