Assassin/Ninja Pre/post Nerf Cata Build

As you all may know, the hive armors are getting a bit of change and I want to take advantage of the new changes.

Explanations:

Anime was a mista..Anima-Infused helm is going to get a really nice damage buff from 15% thunder damage to 30% thunder damage making it the best helm for thunder build along with its high raw defense and 25% spell damage.

Boreal for thunder dmg, def, mana regen.

Vaward for skill points and hp and more spell %.

Paradox for mana spell damage and skill points.

Diamond fusion ring here was a very interesting pick because is a very nice ring for PvP because of its reflection and thorn and a very nice hp boost for those with a bad -hp Cata. However, you can swap this ring out for another Summa if 6/4 with 50% reduction just doesn't cut out for you.

Summa. I've been messing around with this ring recently and found that it is amazing because it almost have no downside: if we are using it with Gigabyte, the -hp regen doesn't even matter, and it doesn't take away much elemental defense given that we are using Boreal (thunder def) and Anima (Fire def).

Prowess for skill points and hp.

Gigabyte in my opinion is really good for almost any builds since it gives a little bit of everything that you need, dmg, skill points, ws, and 800 hp. This is basically Prowess in a form of necklace.

With all the armors you get 11 slots for powders, and I would HIGHLY recommend you invest in the element that you are weak in.

For the skillpoints left over, highly recommend you get int to 68 and invest the rest to agility.

Sadly yes, I was reluctant about posting it but here you have it.

 

I'm not saying it's a bad build, it's just taken from the list sooooooo

 

I suggest dark channeler instead of vaward. if you get 21% thunder roll on dark channeler, and very good spell dmg rolls, then it does more dmg than vaward. Plus you could opt for another DF ring instead of summa cause 2-4 more mana from dark channeler and great defenses. Also, royal stormy does 'slightly' more dmg than giga (like 50 more cause thunder dmg) but giga has more hp bonus so I suggest giga. BUILD

 

But in exchange for damage, you are sacrificing your 50% reduction for mana. I don't think is a good idea. And this build is not going to work after the requirement increase.

hey, guess what! I play my archer with 10 int. Just hold a shitty low req dagger with high mana regen if you really need more :p like rewind, good for mana regen even if not a part of your build. On my archer I just use Nemract's Rage to get mana and escape spell :p

Also, Beetle Aegis > Boreal if you are worried about dmg, but Beetle Aegis < if you want that 2/4 regen :p

 

Beetle Aegis is also complete trash at survivability
Which is basically the only way to build cata

Also mana for escape isn't the only thing needed, you also need to use it to, I dunno, do spells? Your DpS is indirectly reduced if you don't get the 50% spell reduction because you can't spam as well.

 

I'm trying to make an overall balanced build, not a full damage or full tank.

Do you think it's worth doing FF however many times? I'm currently using dia fusion with this cata build, is it worth the time?

 

To counter Summa, +800, + more damage. I'll say is worth it.
