Save Wynncraft's Wiki

It's awesome to see a new look for the wiki!
but corkus has been released for months but it still says "Gameplay is currently based around the Wynn Province and the Gavel Province, but there are plans to expand to other provinces as development progresses."

 

We never this upgrade, I think I doesn't for all wiki editors/translators when I say that the previous wiki was hell

 

We've got our reasons for switching to Gamepedia. It was discussed quite a bit, and it's definitely worth the switch. The ads aren't bad at all, and if they bother you so much, downloading an adblocker isn't much effort at all.

 

To everyone with adblocker: It reduces revenue from a page, meaning if everyone here uses an adblocker there will be next to no retinue on the wiki, making Gamepedia less willing to help us out with the "technical" stuff

 

Alright, I submitted the form and when I went to my new user profile page (Thunder 2700) <-- They removed the _ from my curse account...

Since when Corkus is a Gameplay Update? I don't remember that being on the old wiki.

 

A few things:
1. Partnering with gamepedia has made the wiki a "more official" tool than before. That's not to say there should be github issues if the wiki is broken, because anyone can now edit.
2. There isn't much worry about bytes and space anymore.
3. One of the reasons ads exist are for gamepedia to provide us with dedicated hosting. If anything, that's a good thing.
4. Being added to gamepedia shouldn't insinuate that the old wiki is dead. Everything has been transferred, sure you have to create a gamepedia account and fill out the google form, but it's relatively straightforward.
5. We have more options to improve the wiki, and make it better.
6. It's also apart of the gamepedia network, and therefore encourages new people to come play Wynncraft! This is good from a marketing standpoint.

Like @Salted said, the pros outweigh the cons. This switch is giving a lot more freedom to editors. Please see this more as a benefit rather than a crime.

It won't, if it screws up with your account I'll see it through. Worse case we re-transfer

Ugh, why did I vote before the owners could explain it? The blocking of changing votes as more evidence is presented is a cheap and exploitative tactic. I want my money vote back.
