Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"If there's anything you need from me or Aj, don't be afraid to ask." Shadow Stephanie says, staying where she is.

 

Hellhounds aplenty over in the desert, but you'd have to go to the forest to get a good idea of the wildlife there.

Alice hesitates before smiling.
"Thank you, my queen. I hope not to be a distraction, but thank you for the offer."
Pause.
"If it means anything, you may want to add to that note I gave you that the scroll writing is on top of an image of a tree."

 

I fly over the forest, quickly scanning for fruits and wildlife.

 

"Alright, thanks. Have a good evening, Alice." Shadow Stephanie says, before disappearing.

 

"You too."
Alice goes back up to her house and grabs a parasol with flowers painted on, checking on the time.

 

It seems to be approaching half past four, the sun beginning to make it's descent over the mountains. Alice can see what looks like strange black wires heading across one of the chasms in the mountains, and even what appears to be a stopped cable car silhouetted against the sun's light. Tracing it back, there seems to be a station of sorts between Alice's house and the main town.

 

Alice heads towards the bar after changing into a slightly more decorated dress.

Tons of fruit, tons of wildlife. However, introducing an Apex Predator may destroy it...

 

Upon arriving at the bar, Alice can notice a sign out front.

"The Starshine Saloon
Food and Spirits."

Alice can hear light music coming from inside, as well as bit of chatter.

 

I fly back to and go through the portal, finding Amethyst.

 

Alice shrugs before entering, looking around at the crowd.

She's still sitting there.

 

Most of the town appears to be in the bar, older residents sitting at tables while the more youthful either dancing or hanging out in an game-themed area, a pool table, soft sofas and a couple of arcade machines in a seperate room. Alice notices Louis talking with a woman who looks a little younger than he is at one of the tables, and a man with a thick brown moustache smiles at Alice from behind the bar counter, presumably the owner. A girl with bright blue hair in a red dress appears to be working behind the counter too, looking quite busy.

 

Alice heads over to the man that made eye contact with her.
"Good evening." She says.

 

"Evenin' ma'am. Haven't seen your face around these parts before. Name's Gus, nice to meet you," Gus says, smiling, "Can I get you a drink or some food? All prepared fresh!"

 

"Nice to meet you, Gus! I moved in this morning. As for the drink... give me whatever your favorite is." She says, closing her parasol and letting it rest on her shoulder.

 

Gus pours Alice a pint of beer, putting it on the counter.

"I'll let you have this one on the house, since you're the new resident." Gus says, winking.

"Gus! I'll 'ave another pale ale!" An older woman with a raspy voice shouts from across the bar.

 

I walk up to her and lightly touch her arm to let her know I'm there before tracing.
"Hey
Are you omnivorous"

 

"Many thanks." Alice says, downing it as she keeps tabs on everyone in the bar.

"Yes I am why"

 

A couple dances to the music near the jukebox in the bar, both seeming happy in each other's company while a young man with tired eyes drinks a pint of beer, an empty glass beside him signalling his second pint.

 

"If you were one only one or the other it would close off options
Is it easy for you to hunt
And how much do you eat"

 

Alice looks for a group of people before nervously approaching them and introducing herself.
"Excuse me? I hope you can pardon my interruption, but I was looking to get acquainted with the locals. My name's Alice, I moved in this morning."

"I hunt landwalkers easily
I dont eat much"
