Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh, I can wait, don't worry." Shadow Stephanie says happily.

 

"Okay! It won't be long. I'll let you know when I'm back." She says, making sure her parasol is still there.

 

"I'll admit, it's not exact the first thing to come to mind, but I chopped down some trees and etched words into them to talk with her."

 

Alice's parasol is still by the door, nothing seems to have disturbed it.

 

Alice takes it, assumes her normal form, then heads home, unlocking the door and reaching out to Shadow Stephanie as she enters.
"Alright, I'm back."

"Clever! Then again, I'm not sure anything else would've worked. Braille, maybe?"

 

A minute later, there's a knock on Alice's door.

 

"If she understood it. From there it was a matter of tracing on her arm to avoid making more of a clearing."

 

Alice hangs up her parasol before opening it.

"You didn't kill too many trees, did you? Artemis might not be happy if she found out."

 

"They were in the underworld, it might not even count."

 

"They were dead trees?"

 

"It sure looked like it."

 

"Just stick with that, then."

 

"Will do."
I nod, then continue to leave.

 

This time, she keeps quiet.

 

I leave the room, going out into the hallway and thinking about home much time has passed.

 

Ten minutes, maybe?

 

I head towards the portal room.

 

Nobody else is in there.

 

I head through the portal to Maralune, looking around.

 

Ytir and Gau seem to have fallen asleep next to the portal, a few other raptors minding their own business nearby.
