"What's the point in removing the tracker if we're just going to return her to the Hive Master?"

"Not being broken is fine thank you"

 

"You intend to do that?"

"Do you want to go back to the Hive Master after this"

 

"Wasn't that your plan?"

"I dont know
Hell probably want me back to use for some other crazy experiment"

 

I shrug.
"Not really."

"We dont have to send you back if you dont want"

 

"I know it'd be ideal, but we can't protect everyone we come across who's cursed or wounded."

"I dont want to go but what good would I do here"

 

"Oh, really? I'm...not entirely sure where that is, but it'd be nice to have someone looking into things! You could probably check the town noticeboard for stuff like that." Louis says happily, pointing toward a wooden board with bits of paper stuck onto it.

 

"Oh, that's okay. It's, needless to say, in the Realm of Shadows. My guest is my queen, so... obviously I'm hoping her visit goes well. She said she'd bring me the paperwork saying I'm no longer residing in the realm personally." Alice says, a bit nervous. "However, I'll keep an eye on that board. I may be retired, but I don't need anything cutting into enjoying it. Anyhow, I'll go take a stroll. Again, it was nice meeting you!" She says happily, looking to take a walk around the community.

 

"Welcome to town!" Louis says happily as Alice leaves, smiling.

There appears to be a pathway besides the shops that leads up toward the community centre, and past it toward an even higher area in the mountains. There appears to be quite a bit of grass and nature about the mountains, enough to fool someone into thinking it was lower down. There's even a few trees, and it looks like the river running through the town becomes larger past the community centre, most likely leading toward a source.

 

Alice decides to look at the shops.

 

There appears to be a general store, as well as a small hospital placed next to it, making it almost look like a shop. The wooden notice board seems to reside outside of the general store, an advertisement for it strangely pinned to it. Across the river, there appears to be a larger yet more commercial store, advertising discounts and various promotional items.

 

Alice heads into the general store, a bit curious.

 

A man with glasses appears to be working the counter, and noticing Alice enter, smiles.

"Welcome!" The man says happily.

There appears to be a few shelves of various food items, such as bread and meats, as well as cooking ingredients, like flour and olive oil. As a general store would be expected to, it sells a variety of general items, though there appears to be enough to suit Alice's possible needs. Oddly, on one side of the store there even appears to be seeds for fruits and vegetables.

 

"Hello!" Alice responds, checking to see if the store has tea.

 

There appears to be a section dedicated to tea on one of the shelves, regular tea along with herbal and fruity teas. The store even has liquorice tea, strangely.

 

Alice checks the price on the herbal and fruity teas.

 

The prices are fairly low, the priciest of the bunch only being 6 gold and 30 silver.

 

Alice opts to take one box of each kind, though she stops at ten boxes for sake of making carrying them easier.

She heads up to the counter, or goes in line if there's one.
If there is no line;
"Sorry, I just moved in. I'm guessing I pay here?" She asks the person at the counter.

Otherwise, she just waits in line.

 

"Yes, you do," The man says, smiling, taking Alice's tea and scanning it; the till updating with the price, "It's nice to finally meet you. My name's Peter."

 

"Ah, my name's Alice. It seems word about me moving in really has spread as fast as Louis said." She says. "Nice to meet you, too."

 

Peter finishes scanning Alice's tea, "That comes to...36 gold and 65 silver."
