"I think I will, can you give me a moment please?"
Alice checks the list price.

 

The price on it appears to be quite high at 75 diamond.

 

Alice checks her bank balance.
"Is the offer above list price?"

 

"The offer is at 82 diamond." The woman says.

Alice has about 2 and three quarters mage left, plenty of money to splash out on a new home.

 

"How much does the homeowner pay in tax?" She asks, smiling. "I'm thinking placing an offer at 90 diamond."

 

More typing, "The tax rate is about four diamond a year." The woman says.

 

"Yes, I'd like to place an offer of 90 diamond." Alice says, content.

 

"Very well, your name please?" The woman asks.

 

"Alice Tourmaline." She says.

 

There's the sound of typing for a bit, "Ok, I've registered your offer. We'll contact you if anything changes, is this number alright to use?" The woman asks.

 

"Yes, this number is fine." Alice says.

Alice checks the seller's number.

 

"Alright, thank you Alice! Have a good day!" The woman says, hanging up.

The seller's number looks quite different than the agency's, though that probably because it has an area code.

 

Alice dials the seller, curious what kind of person owns the house.

 

"Maybe it's because they don't have a head?"


"Yeah
Theyre working on a portal here now
So if you feel something else nearby its them"

 

Eventually, the seller picks up.

"Hello?" A male voice answers.

 

"Hi, did I reach the person selling the mountaintop house?" Alice asks.

"Hold on... Amethyst?"


"Thanks for the heads up"

 

"Yes, you have. Speaking?" The seller asks.

 

"Alice, Alice Tourmaline. I just placed an offer with your agency and was hoping you might be able to tell me a bit about what the neighborhood's like."

 

"Oh, well first things first, hello Alice. The neighbourhood is very friendly, a community like no other. Everyone's of course a little spaced apart, but that doesn't stop them! For the years I've lived there, I've never had one complaint about the neighbours. It's a real lovely place." The seller says happily.

 

"That sounds wonderful! Plus the view is great, seems like a real nice place for me to retire. I hope my offer's good enough in your eyes, in that case!"
Pause.
"However, I do have one concern. Mind me running it by you?"
