Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yeah."

They're not, but they seem to let her know a bit more precisely where you are.

You are, by the wyvern.

 

Crystal just stay silent, thinking.

I put my hammer back, letting her do her thing.

 

I take a diversion a quarter of the way back to the portal, pretending not to fully notice the wyvern and attempting to search out something.

 

They keep following.
"H-hey, wait up!" They call.

Linoa takes the moment to watch the scenery below go by.

She eventually starts scratching words.
"You wont tell Aj about me will you"

 

I stop, letting the wyvern catch up.

 

Crystal does as well, looking around for anything interesting.

I gently grab her arm, tracing letters on it.
"Theres no need to"

 

When they do, they take a minute to catch their breath.
"I-if you aren't... looking to kill her, why does she think that?" They pant.

Nothing interesting, just rolling hills behind snowy mountains.

She flinches, but soon realizes what you're doing.
"Thanks It's kind of strange talking to an enemy like a friend"

 

"She made an assumption, and let her fear drive her mind." I say.

 

"W-well, don't tell the others I said this... go to the mountains and ask around to find someone who took her off this island."

 

"Alright, thanks." I say, getting my bearings before aiming to head toward the mountains.

I toss a necklace with a light silver crystal attached toward the wyvern as I head toward the mountains. The crystal appears to be shaped like a gust of wind.

 

Crystal relaxes, a bit bored.

"I imagine it is"
Pause
"Is there something I can do to help you here"

 

They look at it curiously, unsure.

The mountains seem empty, but upon getting closer you can hear movement in most of the caves.

Linoa just takes the quiet time to relax.

"Not really I might ask if you could get me back to the Hive Master but Im sure Aj wouldnt appreciate you helping the enemy"

 

The crystal just glows lightly, the element of air surrounding it.


I enter one of the caves.

"Hello?" I ask.

 

"If it means getting you some help I would I just dont know where the Hive Master is"

 

Still unsure, the wyvern takes it as he flies back.


A little more movement.
"Mommy, who's that?" A young voice whispers.
"I don't know, but you know what to do if they're not nice."
"Y-yes mommy..."

A dragon peeks around the corner of the cave.
"Hello, who might you be?"

"Not really I could just get some form of communicating device there and stop getting lost on assignments"
Pause.
"Kralnaad The draconian homeworld"

 

As the wyvern flies back, he finds it much easier to stay in the air, and much less exhausting to fly.


"Aj, I was told to come here to find someone who takes people off of this island." I say.

 

"Oh You were on an assignment?"

 

"That could be just about anyone here. I assume you're looking for someone in particular?"

A hatchling also peeks out around the corner, but the dragon gently pushes them back deeper into the cave.

"Supposed to be It didnt go particularly well"

 

"What happened"

 

"Fell somewhere . Couldnt get back up so I bided time down wherever I am"
