Because it's a frickin amazing mythic, and probably a one-time chance for you?

Usually poor people that suddenly become extremely rich by finding such an expensive mythic lose their money very quickly again, because of lack of understanding of the mythic market and/or recklessly throwing away money to try out as many mythics as possible. If you're gonna sell it, this may as well happen to you and you'll never be able to touch a cata again and you'll end up whining 24/7 in detlas server 1.

probably a bit of an exaggeration, but I understand your point.
I play for fun, that's the thing.

generally, I'd like to have the freedom of what items I would like to buy. I can have more freedom with more money, not just a cataclysm that I would hold onto forever. I can then get involved in the mythic market and earn more money, more freedom. keeping the cataclysm is probably the more sensible choice, but I'd like to have that limitless feeling that I've wanted for quite a long time.

Well 20-30 stacks is a pretty damn lot. I don't know if you realise but cata is the third most expensive mythic in the game.

 

Stratiformis > Warp > Cataclysm ?

 

Strati is trash for dmg builds.
