"Why 2 am? And, yeah, there really isn't."

Crystal enlarges his arms a bit more, seeing if that will help.

 

"If I did I'd probably be with him." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

It does help, with a few more inches of draw distance.

 

"The person we're getting the information from said we had to wait until 2am to meet him." Artemis explains.

 

"Crap. Katie and Angela booked it to the Shadow Realm since the creature he lured away from here is... well, back."

 

Crystal releases, aimed at a target.

"Ah. Mind if I tag along?"

 

"Creature?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

"We're going to be staying hidden, but you can come with us most of the way." Stephanie says.

"It's probably best we don't bring new people, it might seem suspicious." Artemis says.

 

"Alright. Do you know the way to the portal out of the underworld? Rineth got me in, so I actually don't know."

 

The arrow goes through the target completely.

"Did Sivius not tell you how he destroyed an entire fleet of spaceships and then distracted the lone creature left in order to protect the Cornae and this world? Don't you remember having to go to an entire other planet to find him?"


...the clock strikes two.

 

Crystal lowers the bow.
"...Is that gonna be a problem?"

 

"Not at all."

 

"Okay."
Crystal puts the bow down, grabbing for a new one.

 

The group shrugs.

"We were going to go back to the Shadow Realm." I say.

"Yeah, but I didn't know that's what he wa-" Shadow Stephanie says, before realising the time.

"Aj, go time." Shadow Stephanie says.

Artemis, Stephanie and I get up, everyone heading to the spire.

It's a bow with a flaming string.

Alice, confused, just empowers Stephanie.

 

"Awfully gutsy empowering your queen don't you think?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"I'll trail you guys. Just tell me when to stop."

Curious, Crystal loads the bow and fires roughly at a target.

 

"Alright. If I don't, use Stephanie and her Shadow as a reference." I say.

 

I nod, clearly ready to get going.

 

The arrow ignites, the target following suit.

"I've been hiding inside you while you were having some Spectre's Blood with Sivius. This is nothing compared to that."

 

It seems the group is already headed to the spire.

"I don't like him when he's that drunk. It's unattractive." Shadow Stephanie says.
