Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Can't be right handed if you don't have one." She shrugs.

 

"So...his right hand got crushed?" Katie asks.

 

"Crushed, cut, and cauterized."

 

"That's...gruesome." Katie comments.

Angela looks a little sick.

 

"Would you rather I left him with a brick and half a hand?" Murel asks bluntly.

 

"Couldn't you heal him?" Katie asks.

 

"We are. He's just gonna get a prosthetic out of the deal."

Pause.

"...Wait, did you actually think I was human?!"

 

"Humans don't possess the ability to use strong magics, or at least, most don't. It's sort of faded with it not being used, but some humans still have the ability to." Katie says.

"I-I thought you were." Angela says nervously.

 

Murel laughs.
"Humans can't operate two ton power armor. At least, pures can't. All of us Archangels are cyborgs."
Pause.
"And I dunno what your deal with magic is."

 

"Well, I'm not human either, I'm a water guardian." Katie says happily.

"I-I'm human." Angela says nervously.

 

"To be honest, you look human to me." Murel says, leaning against her axe. "Just, one of those cosplayers that dye their hair and everything."

 

"Can a human do this?" Katie asks, surrounding herself in an icy globe, before filling it with water and changing her legs into a fish-tail.

 

"Yeah. Literally any follower of O'rogal can. It's like a minimum requirement for their crazy cult."

 

"Oh...well can they do this?" Katie asks, freezing the water in the globe and changing it to a large, icy version of herself, Katie remaining in its chest as her movements are mimicked by the icy version.

 

Murel nods.
"Maybe you should look into their cult. Hiran could still probably put in a good word for you."

 

"Uh...I'd rather not join any cults. They have some pretty high suicide rates..." Katie says, slightly scared.

 

Murel shrugs.
"You seem perfect for them, but your call. I kinda hate the whole thing anyways."

 

"I think a cult killed my friends mother, as well as a bunch of other powerful guardians, so I don't think joining a cult would be very respectful either." Katie says.

 

"That freaky vampire lady?" Murel asks, unsure. "You've got crazy friends."

 

"Vampires are a common misconception. The concept of a vampire comes from a death guardian, when really vampires don't actually exist. The idea of them turning into bats is crazy," Katie says, laughing, "My kind are often mistaken for mer-people, when we're actually not."
