This is my first (as far as my memory serves me) Class Build since the Gameplay Update. It is an offensive Spring Build that boasts superior defensive capabilities as well. Without further ado, let's begin.

    - Other Builds -
Calamity - Agile Defensive Cancer Mage

    ~~ ABYSS ~~

    Equipment

    Blue Mask
    Boreal-Patterned Aegis
    Gemini
    Gaea-Hewn Boots

    Prism
    Prism
    Prowess
    Diamond Hydro Necklace

    Spring
    Stinger

    Explanations

Blue Mask is mandatory for this build to provide the necessary Skill Points of using Gemini / Gaea-Hewn Boots combination alongside 129 Intelligence.

Boreal-Patterned Aegis can provide Mana Regen for the build while granting much-needed resistance towards Thunder and Air, defenses that are otherwise mediocre. Walk Speed and Reflection are nice bonuses to enhance mobility and punish Mages. Water Damage also receives a good boost.

Gemini is central to the build in providing extremely high amounts of Elemental Defense across all Elements. It ensures that this Water build is not weak to common counters of Thunder. Dexterity will be slightly lowered by Spring, but Weapons IDs are not taken into Skill Point Requirement calculation for equipment.

Gaea-Hewn Boots patch the build's Earth and Fire Defenses. +200 Raw Spell Damage also slightly enhances Spring's neutral coverage. Since this is the only high boost to Earth and Fire Defenses, these two Elemental Defenses are the weakest, though still sitting at a comfortable 600+ after percentage boosts.

Prisms provide much-needed Skill Point Boosts as well as Elemental Defenses, in addition to further boosting Reflection in order to remind Mages just who they are dealing with.

Prowess provides a decent amount of HP as well as Skill Point Boosts.

Diamond Hydro Necklace is extremely powerful for builds aiming for 129 Intelligence. Not only does it provide +2/4s Mana Regen, it also gives a whopping 12 Intelligence. Singular Skill Point Boosts of 10 or more on Accessories are very rare, if not limited only to select Legendary Island Diamond Accessories. Diamond Hydro Necklace also further enhances Reflection to sock it to those Mages.

Spring is the weapon of choice for Abyss. It has +4/4s Mana Regen and Intelligence to push the total towards 129. It also has Health Regen for a bit of recovery. The most important thing about Spring is its unparalleled damage output among Water weapons. Spring is incredibly difficult to defend against thanks to its high base damage. If push comes to shove, Curse Powder Special can be activated to counter the hair's width of Water Defense the opponent is counting on.

Stinger is used to hit everything Spring can't.

    Final Verdict

The main playstyle of this build is simple: Escape-Bomb alternation while throwing out some Arrow Shields in-between. 75% Mana Reduction and +8/4s Mana Regen makes this extremely easy.

If fighting opposing Archers, stay away of walls or other obstacles as they can act as a bouncing platform for the opponent's Bombs. Refrain from using Stomp unless in damage range in order to stay in the air for as long as possible. It is very difficult to shoot an Archer in the middle of the air.

If fighting opposing Warriors, refrain from getting in a 40 block radius from them. The rest is no problem.

If fighting opposing Mages, overwhelm then with your damage output. Curse if necessary. Try to avoid their Ice Snake by Escaping upwards, as Bombs are blocked by Ice Snake. Height advantage works wonders, so keep Escaping.

If fighting opposing Assassins, keep Arrow Shield up. Do not stop moving. While they are vanished, alternate Escape ( and Stomp ) + Arrow Storm instead of Bomb. Turn around in a circle as soon as you Stomp to create a barrage of Arrows all around you to flush out nearby Assassins. Once they are visible, go in for the kill.

Thanks to @motoki1 for his Damage Calculator like every Class Build thread ever.

You'd only have 6/4s Mana Regen and will need extra investment into Intelligence. Its damage output is on par with Spring but the Mana and Health Regen just triumphs imo.

But yes Hive Bow is an okay replacement.

Just bought spring, will test this build tomorrow. Ama add my own little twist to it though: 4 seasons babyyy. Spring represents spring (doh), full thunder hive bow represents summer, full earth stinger represents autumn and full air powder gales represents winter. Use whatever element the enemy is weak too (no fire weapon coz we are in the tank meta)

The Hive Item change will actually be quite beneficial to this build. Abyss has enough Skill Points to take out of Agility and place into Strength and Defense to get 40/70/129/40/70+. Furthermore both Hive Chest and Hive Boots boost Water Damage even more so than they already do, making Abyss' damage output increase. The downside however is obviously the slight drop in Agility as well as lower Elemental Defenses, especially in Fire and Earth. However Gemini more than patches the negative % from the Armor and the rest can be boosted with Powders.

Hive Bow is really a pretty big stepdown from Spring tbh. 6/4s Mana just won't cut it.
