Weird Guy Following Me...

so I leveled up in the Temple of Legends when suddenly someone joined. I told him to please go somewhere else, cause I was there first (and wasnt it kinda an unwritten rule that you gotta switch servers if someone else is farming xp where you want to?)
Didnt actually say "I was here first" just to be clear.
welp, we were there, I just instakilled everything with meteore and I got like 20x more xp than him. 10 minutes after I wrote that I've never seen such a stubborn person and it's just stupid staying there without getting anything. (A party would just be a disadvantage for me since I kill everything... and even if I wouldnt, I'd gain ~40-50% less xp if we share the mobs 50/50 and got a party)
he added me as a friend and I KNEW he'd follow me after I switch servers.
Why is there no option to block someone?? I simply dont want him by me.

 

Or at least change the friends list so it has to be mutual. Aka both parties have to agree to be friends, right now I agree with you, the friends list is kind of a stalker tool.

well, he also just could've spam /find Baumichan, but thats something else... seeing in your chat when someone's logging in somewhere when I dont want him to know is kinda dumb

also, Youtubers still have the option to be invisible in the player list right? Why doesnt have everyone have at least the option to block someone, cause you could also get some weird messages. Yes, you could report them. But the ability to block someone would make it instantly. Later, they can get reported... and I'm sure they are some people out there getting harrassed in messages.

 

Not for me. If the 1st thing you do is say that to me, especially if I wasn't even planing on staying, I'll bother you with my presence. It's a rude thing to shush someone away because "you were there 1st".
If you want me to go somewhere else, there are nice ways of saying it. E.g. can you please change the servers. In that case, I'd be happy to do so.

Going back to the topic, that is harassment. You should report the player, providing you have evidence of him doing so.

I said "hey, could you please switch the servers".. not more not less the first time he was there.

and he was nice enough to stay and (at least trying to) kill everything.. what didnt really work out but he stayed there for no reason except to obviously anger me.

 

Well, if you had a problem with him not changing server, why didn't you change server instead of him? You could've avoided the situation then.

didnt want to since I politely asked him to switch. He didnt and I killed everything much faster than him so I kinda wanted to show him that it's dumb to just not follow my request only for my annoyance...

well, seems like he's staying where he is. Maybe cause I stayed offline for 15 minutes and logged back in, maybe because something else... dont really care, hope he just stays where he is. ;_;
no need to report now. But I hope there will be an option to block someone or something similar to that.. getting stalked, harrassed or just annoyed by doing that he did is just NOT NICE.

 

It's not a rule, unwritten or written, that you have to switch servers if someone is already grinding there. It sounds more like after you asked him to leave he was just trying to piss you off and get a reaction out of you.

 

Which is then against the rules. Despite switching servers not being an unwritten rule, he still was technically harassing her and stalking her. Baumichan probably wanted him to leave, but he was purposefully mocking her/trying to make her mad.

 

well, I remember when I grinded there for my other classes... everyone was just nice enough to switch, whether you ask them or not. And I do that too cause I know how much that sucks. Switching servers doesnt take much effort. :P
