Alright. So, recently, I've seen a big commotion going on about some players selling unidentified mythics. Now, I'm not going to get into the details about who is doing that and what this commotion really is, but I would like to reveal a major glitch that allows a player to figure out what the identified product of an unidentified item is without actually having to identify it. And no, it is not the identifying cost.

The reason as to why I am choosing to post this is because there is the slightest chance that whoever is selling these mythics might know this glitch. If they do, then there is no chance involved in buying the unidentified mythics, and you are 100% going to get scammed off of lots of hard-earned LE.

The glitch I am revealing allows a player to figure out what the unidentified item is because the item you get is not determined when rolling it, but is determined at drop. If the person selling you the unidentified mythic happens to know this glitch, then there is no chance in you getting a valuable mythic, and you are simply getting ripped off lots of LE. Now I'm not saying that whoever tries to sell you an unidentified mythic knows this glitch and is trying to scam the hell out of you, as there are some people who don't actually want to risk rolling a cheap mythic, and would rather sell it safely unidentified for guaranteed profit. However, the chances of that are honestly slim, as most people would rather identify their mythic with the chance that it could be something immensely valuable.

So if somebody sells you an unidentified mythic, it is most likely that they know what item it is, through whichever method they choose to figure it out, and they are simply trying to scam you. tl;dr don't buy unidentified mythics.

    kthxbye.

I don't know if it is or if it is not. I asked @Creecreeprs if I could post this thread, and he wasn't really sure. If a moderator asks me to take it down, I will do it. But I felt that revealing this glitch would help clear up some of the shadiness behind the unidentified mythics.

IMO, sharing this kind of glitch is okay.

Glitches that shouldn't be shared are the ones that affect gameplay. E.g. going trough walls or such, something that directly gives player an advantage
    in game, while it shouldn't.

Now the community will know how they do it, and hopefully be more careful about it. No one in their right mind would not ID a mythic, cause you could be getting tons of LE, unless you already know the price of it.

It's a pretty clear attempt at scamming and shouldn't go unnoticed.

That's the problem. Some people might know about this glitch. However, not enough people know about this, which allows the people who do know this glitch to scam others. I know that I may not be revealing anything new, but I just want to make sure the rest of the playerbase knows about this so that they don't get tricked into a scam.

Gonna quickly post this before the lock.

This is the most useless glitch possible, if you are so poor your cant just identify it then sell it after it's identified, you'll get more money back.

You are missimg the background. There is a solid and good reason why this was posted, and it's far from useless.

here lemme give you an example of how this could be broken

    so let's say someone gets a 96-100 unidentified mythic wand, which can be one of {gaia, monster, fatal, warp}
since "there's a 1/4 chance of it being a warp and the buyer getting a lot of money", the person prices it at 12 stacks
however they knew in advance that the wand was a monster which is going to sell for 6 stacks at most, and they just got at least six easy stacks for utilizing a simple glitch

    Then fuck it

I would just say it's a warp and walk away with 20 stacks

I'd like to remind you guys that one of our rules is to not abuse or share glitches. That includes posting threads about them. I've removed anything in this thread that says how to do the glitch and locked it.
For anyone who knows how to use it: Using this glitch to see what an unidentified item is then selling it as if you didn't know what it was, or saying you've used it to see that your item is a more valuable mythic when it isn't, will lead to a ban for glitch abuse. Essentially, just don't use it at all if you don't want to risk a ban.
