Archer, For Dummies

You heard it! I am making an archer guide!!!!!!

Chapter 1: Introduction to Archer
Have you ever wanted to piss people off in the nether? Well today is your lucky day! Archer is the easiest class to play and if you ever die outside of a boss fight, it's your fault. Now, here is a thing I made comparing archer to other classes:
Damage: Did you know Bobs bow does more damage per second than any other weapon of his? It's because archer da best.
Defense: Who cares that archer has the worst defense? Most of the time you're like 50 blocks away from the nearest enemy. The only case it's bad is if you're fighting ranged enemies, but they, in every case, have worse range than you. I mean, before gavel as an archer you could hit CoW to the other side of the room and in that case defense didnt matter. (You could still do this with some gavel bosses)
Spells: Escape is life. Archer means almost nothing until level 26(?) when you get sp33d from escape. You can beat a 10/10 brown horse with like +10% WS when you have speed 3. Also, bomb arrow is meteorite spell from Mage but on an arrow, as to where you do the same damage with like an extra 50% range
Not only this shit, but also you get archer exclusive stuff like Stratiformis where you can build a speed and damage build at the same time. There is warp, but mage is a boring class so just stick with strati.

Chapter 2: Sticky Situations
As a mage, you heal when you lose your shit. As a warrior, you just warscream and beat everything up (Atleast I do), as an assassin, you go invis. As an archer, you do nothing! I'm not even lying. You never get in sticky situations that you cant get out of. You're either 500 blocks away from your target, or in a bossfight. In a bossfight, if you lose your shit, calm down. Just know you cant do anything about it :D
Occasionally if you fuck up and lose half your health (Which is almost embarrassing) when you could scape to some place thats like y 500 (Coordinates 4tw). In the dark forest? Run to the wall on the side of the map! Near detlas? Jump on a house! There is no excuse to dying! Unless you are in a boss fight, but archer weapons do all the damage so you shouldn't worry.

Chapter 3: Annoying People
Anyways, once you've gotten to level 21 you are ready for the nether. Simply go into the nether right after the server restarts, spam escape to get to the top of some random ass building, and spam escape to anyone you see. Dont worry about people using poison on you, just know the fact that you were pulling scummy moves already and you deserved it. Speaking of which, you already got stinger, a bow that does 2000 damage and has 2000 poison. Even with cancer, you're still doing a shit ton of damage.

Chapter 4: Tryhard Strategies.
Now, even though assassin's tryhard strategies (Selvut said he multihits mobs into lava cuz he cant do enough damage) make it look like a tryhard archer does not exist, but it indeed does.
As an archer, you can spam arrowstorm on any bosses that teleport. They will be knocked back, and if every arrow hits them, they will bow down to you as they die. But that is not the try hard part at all. The try hard part is Escape.
Escape is a cost efficient movement spell that moves you further than warriors mobility spell, and is cheaper also. As for mages spell, it does not move you as for. I calculated that at about a 45 degree angle, archer's escape can go up to 255 blocks far. Think mages spell goes that far? Nah. It goes like 5 blocks far or something. Now, for arrow bomb. Arrow bombs max distance is about 500 blocks far, meaning that if you're in a skype call with your friend, he's in ragni while you're in detlas, you could theoretically help him by shooting him in the air. As for arrow shield, using it 5 seconds before a boss fight, you could deal massive damage to him and have max mana for other spells.

If my calculations are correct, he thinks that an Archer's Escape goes 51x the distance that Mage's Teleport goes.

 

Is that height wise? ohhhh, he means that if you escape at the top of a cliff at y255, you would be able to reach y0 if there is nothing in the way. this doesn't say anything about horizontal distance.

Meteor does 400% (+ 100% burning damage one sec later) damage, arrow bomb does 250% damage?

Mage's teleport goes like 20 blocks if used right? Don't quote me on this.

The escape calculation is bs and so is how far arrow bomb goes, pretty sure it disappears if you're not close enough, just like all entities. You also can't aim too high bcz barrier blocks. Lots of em.

you just said arrow storm does a lot of dmg, escape is a good movement spell, bomb can go far away (which is wrong bc it will despawn)

 

Arrow shield and walk speed are important as well. Arrow shield in small rooms so melee can't hit you. WS so you can avoid projectiles easier.

 

The only really challenging way to play archer is to play with heavy melee build (like stinger)

Um, actually, as an archer main I can clarify that there is actually a sticky situation that you can be in.
It's when the boss accidentally gets trapped in the wall while you spam arrow storm then you can't get the item from them.
