Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"May as well be. Day one of being in the Shadow Realm she went to a bar, bought every drop out of every tap, then went to the arena and made back double."


He watches them run down her face.

 

"Huh, that explains all the paperwork on alcohol..." I say.


They just run down her face as any other liquid would.

Shadow Stephanie teleports over to Angela, or just moves so fast it looks like teleportation.

"What's wrong, Angela?" Shadow Stephanie asks sympathetically.

Angela gets up and hugs Shadow Stephanie, catching her off guard, sobbing.

"Whoa, uh, ok. Do you want to come join our tea party? Would that make you feel better?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

"Y-Y-Y-Yes, p-p-please." Angela says, sobbing.

Shadow Stephanie takes Angela over to Stephanie, who seems to be sitting down with a couple of cups of tea and a tea pot, as well as a few small cakes.

 

"What do you mean?"


Peridot glances over before heading over to Katie.

 

"There was some paperwork on alcohol being sold and bought and stuff, to do with stock and how much they should legally sell someone even if they have the money for it." I say.


Katie's still frozen in ice, looking asleep.

 

"That probably wouldn't stop Linoa if she found a drink she liked."


Peridot scans her silently before idling off to the side.

 

"It's an attempt." I say.

 

"She'd just go somewhere else. Like here. She was cussing out Shadow Stephanie behind her back. Judging by her reactions, the tea they make is alcoholic."

 

"What was she saying?" I ask, glancing over at Shadow Stephanie's tea party.

 

"I meant the spiders here. Linoa talks highly of the tea they make for guests."

 

"I'm still curious about what she was saying about Shadow Stephanie." I say.

 

"Slurred cursing for killing a spider that tried to offer Stephanie tea, apparently. Just sounds drunk to me."

 

"She told me the spider tried to catch Stephanie by dragging her down with a web." I say flatly.

 

"That's what I saw too. Don't get all gruff at me, I'm just the messenger." Alice retorts, annoyed.

 

"I'm not getting gruff, I'm just stating what happened." I say, equally annoyed.

 

"Now you are."

 

"Ugh." I say, annoyed.

 

"I'm done." Alice sighs.

 

"Wanna go join Stephanie's tea party?" I ask.

 

"I don't want to. Sapphire hired me to look into Angela's identity, and I'd rather just laze around."

 

"Angela seems nice. She's sweet when she isn't scared out of her mind." I say, offering a hand for Artemis to take and heading over to Shadow Stephanie's tea party with her.
