Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"What did I misinterpret?" The construct asks.

 

"Nothing, really. That's the best description of Artemis I could give." Stephanie says.

 

"Then what was surprising about it?"

 

"Well, the fact that you managed to get it all right so easily." Stephanie says.

 

"She's easy to read." The construct shrugs.

 

Stephanie thinks for a moment.

"Can you do the same with me?" Stephanie asks.

 

"Scanning..."
Pause.
"Name: Stephanie
Origin: Alien
Race: Human
Subtype: Magician
Class: Alchemist
Weapon: Alchemicals and Tome
Weakness: Variable
Resistance: Variable
Immunity: Variable"
Pause.
"Variables dependent on potions and enchants laid upon self. Typical human attributes apply otherwise."

 

"Well, I like to call myself a sorceress or witch, but I guess magician sort of works." Stephanie says, shrugging.

 

"The disturbances I read suggest Alchemist over either, Witch a more specified subtype."

 

"Well, I practise alchemy, golemancy, the elemental arts, voodoo, psychic powers and more, so I guess it's a matter of which I've done more total work in." Stephanie says.

 

The construct doesn't respond, eyeing Shadow Stephanie in particular.

 

Stephanie looks where the construct is looking.

"That's my Shadow. She's a being of darkness who looks just like me." Stephanie says.

 

The construct keeps quiet.

 

"W-Why have we stopped?" Angela asks nervously.

"Taking a break." Shadow Stephanie says casually.

 

The construct turns back to Stephanie.
"I suppose that I should ask... do you know any modern constructs that may be worthy of ancient power? My prime directive states I must seek the most powerful robot I can find. Scrap those who are inferior and grant true strength to the one who is not."

 

Stephanie seems to be about to say something, before reconsidering.

"No, I don't." Stephanie says.

 

"You do, but you do not want them scrapped." The construct says flatly.

 

"Obviously, because they're a friend." Stephanie says.

 

The construct nods.
"Why do you deem such a large group a requirement?"

 

"Well, they're my friends, and I like to go on adventures with them. Besides, safety in numbers, right?" Stephanie says happily.
