I just made a level 9 character who could beat that monk in a 1v1. This boi is amazing against one strong enemy, but I think I forgot to give him any way to deal with groups of enemies.

Also he is a multiclass, but as per my rules of Multiclassing both sides make sense. He has 6 levels in Warlock and 3 levels in Mystic, but I will keep the subclasses a secret for now...

But his main properties are:
-Invisiblilty
-Teleportation
-The amazing Warlock Darkness plus Devils Sight combo
-Illusion/Deception
-Cursing
-Shadow magic
-Amazing in melee with amazing sword
-friend(?) or at least not enemy of mind flayers or douplgangers

Fascinating. I was thinking of multiclassing the monk, but I'd need to do it at level 18 because I want quivering palm since, due to ability score improvements, his save DC will be 19 at level 18, meaning most things have a very high chance of death if he uses it on them.

 

It was my first idea, but it's Alfred.

 

It's not actually death, right, just really high necrotic damage? The highest hp a level 20 character could possibly have, assuming Barbarian with 18 CON starting and 12 on all their hp rolls is 340 hp.

Also you don't NEED to do it at level 18, you can take a 2 level dip earlier and still get the improvements, just at a slightly later level

I think I actually screwed up something. He has an INT of 10. Mystic does not have a requirement for Multiclassing since it's not made for Multiclassing, but if it did he would need 13 INT...

Actually, for quivering palm:
Fail = Drops to 0 HP, regardless of HP.
Success = 10d10 damage. Ouch.

Most DMs kill enemies once the reach 0 HP, so failing the save means they die. Also, if I drop someone to 0 HP and they go into death saves, I can use flurry of blows to kill them in 1 turn if I'm lucky.
