The reasoning I have behind hephaestus is to have more regen and walk speed to not be a sitting duck in bossfights. For PvP, Fire Sanctuary is very likely the better option though. You can carry both with you and switch whenever needed. I can add a disclaimer in the pants section. :)

 

Yeah, I guess it comes down to personal preference/situation.

Also, I'd carry around alazarin (not in your hotbar, but in your inventory) for more health regen whenever you need it.

 

Sounds like a good idea. An Ivory would work for that as well, it can have up to 195 health regen. Even though that'd require the agility setup with 2 extra skill points.

 

Alazarin doesn't require any setup and it's got neutral damage that may help with some bosses. It also has health bonus if you actually use it to fight with.

Have you damage tested with hive dagger? I might end up using that instead since it's not a mythic.

 

No, but Hive Infused will most likely end up doing a bit more damage than Inferno.
I'm not sure about that though.

Yup, that is a good choise.
Inferno won't cost you much though, and it will look infinitely better. It also has health and walk speed that are quite nice.
But still, I'm calling an Inferno damage buff sooner or later, Hive Infused beating a mythic should not even be a question.

The problem is Inferno has 3 pretty big downsides that limit your build options, most mythics actually have good stuff over Hive Infused weapons.
I guess Inferno also has that health and walk speed but the downsides are way too big considering what you get in exchange. It either needs a damage buff or otherwise the cons have to be made much, much less severe. I'd probably remove the negative agility and leave everything else the way it is.

It's a cheap mythic dagger that is actually kind of good. Definitely good value for the 2-3 stacks you pay.
