[dungeon Help] How Do You Get Past The Cannon Fight In Galleons Graveyard?

Im currently grinding Galleons Graveyard to get the upgraded black horse. The dungeon so far is relatively easy, but the cannon fight is a bitch to deal with. I've been going at it for 20 damn minutes and haven't landed a single hit. I rarely get any of my shots near him and when I do it always get countered just half a block away from his ship. I mean... maybe i'm just being an idiot and blowing it somehow. I don't know. Any of y'all got tips?

 

it is complete aids, just spam the shit out of it.

something that i think MIGHT work is to focus on maybe 1-2 cannons to actually hit and shoot them right as they collide

its pure cancer.... i somewhere wrote down some of his shot patterns to create feedback about how ridiculous it is .-. i lost it though ;D just keep spaming and spaming and eventually you ll get it done x) from my feeling he shoots more the more often you hit him btw ^^
edit: i would be fine with this cannon fight if it wasnt just a small part of the dungeon... its not difficult or anything its just time consuming._. If that was all you had to do in the dungeon i would be okiish with it (the dungeon would be just bad then though) however seeing as its just a small part of the dungeon i believe that the cannon puzzle needs a serious rework because like this its just too timeconsuming
