Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie, looking slightly panicked, tries harder to free the wooden figure.

 

She can't until Xlentia scoots near the door and lifts her wing just enough to get the figure out, using her other wing to block off the rest of the opening above her in the doorway.

 

Stephanie lowers the wooden figure to the ground before passing out, a bit of blood coming from her nose as the wooden figure seems to jolt to life again.

 

"By definition, they can't be animals, because they're dead, but they can be correctly called 'dead animals'."

 

Xlentia pushes the figure out of her room, trying to close the door without crushing it.

"See? I was close!"
"You were still wrong!"
The two begin to wrestle, and the other raptors, bored, glance at each other and join in, a tangle of feathers ensuing as the other half nervously sneaks back towards the kingdom.

 

I encourage the humans to keep going, following them to make sure they stay safe.

 

The figure tries to fight against Xlentia, obviously failing, as it attempts to reach Stephanie lying on the floor.

 

They do, and by the time the raptors are done wrestling, they're confused where the group went.

OOC: Xlentia's pushing the figure towards Stephanie, considering the group's outside of her chambers and the figure is being pushed out.

 

OOC: *shrug*

The figure heads over to Stephanie, before heading into her cloak and slowly pulling out a light blue potion.

 

Xlentia waits a second before closing her door, a small blue pulse reverberating across the surface of the door as it presumably locks.

 

I approach the raptors, Crystal right behind me.
"They went home, don't worry."

 

The wooden figure takes the potion and pours it into Stephanie's mouth, trying to get Stephanie to drink it as most of it spills onto the ground. Stephanie eventually opens her eyes, rubbing her head as the wooden figure goes limp again, Stephanie picking it up as she gets up.

 

"Oh, okay. The yellow thing tasted weird, but it wasn't as bitter."
"Yeah, it was a change of pace."
"Tasted funny, but it was okay."
"It wasn't that damp, either."

Rineth glances over.
"You okay?"

 

"Did it have bumps on it, and was the middle very different from the outside?"
I ask, clarifying.

 

"Y-Yeah, I wanted to do some exploring but Xlentia pushed me to my limit." Stephanie says, drinking what remains of the blue potion.

 

"Yeah."

"You could've just asked." Rineth shrugs.

 

"That's called corn, just so you know."

 

Stephanie shrugs.

"I didn't think she was that protective." Stephanie says.

 

"She's a dragon. They protect their gold. If I had any, I'd probably be like that too."

"Corn?"
"Weird name."
"Why's it called that?"
"Is it all called corn?"

 

"I didn't even want the gold. It's actually fairly easy to make with alchemy, you just can't make the coins." Stephanie says.
