"The fact that it can come to us and we have no way to stop it is enough to worry, but we do have more pressing issues."

 

"Indeed you do."
I look around for Rineth.

 

He's talking with Stephanie.

 

"Huh? Isn't she evil?" Stephanie asks, distracted.

 

"We'll need to wait a bit."
I inform the group.

 

"Formerly mind controlled. She dripped with evil magic trying to resist you-know-who, but of course that made her go insane. I suppose she did get to go out saying she was able to resist."

"Right..."
"How long?"
"Screw him, can't we find another dragon?"

 

"...Hive, uh, Master?" Stephanie says, still distracted as her wooden figure takes form.

 

"Yep."

 

"That's kind of scary to think about." Stephanie says, summoning some easily bendable wire to string through the wooden figure so it can bend and move its limbs.

 

Rineth just leaves.

Rineth approaches the group, just leaving from his conversation with Stephanie.

 

Stephanie finishes her wooden figure, putting it down and putting her hands to her head, focusing. The figure seems to come to life, the carving knife used to carve it carving out a small wooden sword and shield from the wood scraps which the wooden figure picks up, before running off into Xlentia's chambers and heading toward the gold pile.

 

Xlentia's tail blocks the figure from getting close.
"No."

 

The wooden figure looks up, expecting to see Xlentia.

 

"Not as big of one, as far as I'm sure."
I say, then turn to Rineth.
"Hey, do you mind if you give these people a ride again?"

 

It does, Xlentia eyeing it curiously.

"Not at all." He says, lowering a wing.

 

The wooden figure scratches it's head, before heading to the end of Xlentia's tail.

 

"Thanks."
I say, gesturing to the group that they should board Rineth.

 

A razor sharp serrated tail ending still blocks the figure. It's slightly bloodstained, and it seems both Xlentia and the painter are unaware of the fact.

They do, and he takes off back to the portal room.

 

The wooden figure tries climbing over the tail, determined.
