Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Alice groans.
"For fuck's sake, can you save that for the trees?"

The group keeps moving, uncomfortable.
"How does she not collapse under her own body weight?"
"What does she even do?"

 

"I believe sealing falls under unable to fight."

 

I look Artemis in the eyes, nodding and smiling before Artemis points a hand at Alice, raising it. A large hollow tree grows around Alice, trapping her inside with a small crack to look through as we go back to kissing.

"Did you say we had to travel to hell itself to get a relic?" Stephanie asks Rineth whilst reading her tome.

 

"She counts coins and bird watches, as far as I know."
I say, answering the second question.

 

"Alright, then. Anything goes, or no magic?"

"That's a stupid thing to be a god for."

Alice punches through it, tackling both you and Artemis.

"Underworld. You've seen the portal in."

 

"She's the god that takes care of things when they get too out of hand, by sending them here, to the void."
I explain.

 

"How does that solve any problems?"

 

"I don't know the extensive details, but I think it's fair to assume that it keeps a lot of things from dying."

 

"I guess there is something to be said about containment..."
"Think she can do anything about the damn ruin?"

 

"Nope. I'm fairly certain she can't heal things, only destroy and contain. If she could self-consciously heal things... well, getting here would be a lot harder."

 

"Goddess of Destruction, huh? Shit, glad she's not cranky."
"Yeah... that probably saved us."
"Does she usually like visitors?"

 

"She doesn't mind them, typically, unless they're there to kill her or something. As for being cranky, I don't think I've ever really seen her act cranky."

 

"That's a relief..."

 

"Yes, it often is."
I agree.

 

"Anything goes."

 

The group seems shaken.
"You know... the fact that this crap lies beyond the borders of our utterly screwed world is as unsettling as the Ruin."

"Pick a dome." He says, another draconian entering.

"No, I want to duel him." He says, approaching.
"Wait, you're..."
"Yep. Sivius. That's what the books call me, among other things."
"Go ahead. You'll give him an actual fight."

 

I pick the closest empty dome.

 

The two draconians look at you.
"So, will you fight the challenger..."
"...or the volunteer?"

 

The pair of us swiftly dodge Alice in what appears to be teleportation, our pose like a two-person dance move as a vine wraps around Alice's leg and slams her to the ground.


"Which world was that?" Stephanie asks.

 

Alice simply phases above you, seeming irritated.
"I appreciate your fun-loving personality, but not so much when I've been stripped of former powers. I was going to ask Mother Tenebrae about it, but she wasn't responding to anyone. Hope she's alright, at that."


"Grh... Entelp, maybe? I dunno. I've been tangled up in diplomacy with Virei'tus as of late." Rineth admits.
