Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Katie shivers a little.

Stephanie opens another portal to Earth, the previous portal quickly closing with a slight outward push. Shadow Stephanie and I head toward an elevator, however.

 

"Are there any specific dueling rules?"

 

Alice glances over.
"Where we regrouping?" She calls out to you.

"You need to decide a win condition. As a god, it may be to sealing, or it may be less."

"Well, fuck... let's just get to the point and see the damn goddess..." The girl says, Ytir keeping quiet.
"I guess... but we don't know what all is here."

Rineth lands nearby, dragon form.
"Hello, Thirteen. Would you like me to help with transportation?"

 

"Yes, that'd be quite helpful."
I say to Rineth, before turning to the people.
"Everyone, this is Rineth, he can speed up getting around in this place. As for seeing Xlentia, I'm sure we could do that."

 

Everyone slowly nods, Rineth lowering a wing.
"Can you carry all of us?"
"You're bigger than I thought dragons were..."

"Oh, trust me, if you think I'm big, you're in for a real treat."

The last two get on, and Rineth glances at you and Crystal.

 

"I'll fly."
I inform Rineth, then look to Crystal.
"Uhh, I'll go with Thirteen."
Crystal decides, shifting around me.

 

Rineth takes off towards Xlentia's chambers, landing in front and pushing them open wide enough for the crowd to go in.
"Good luck, and expect to be called mortals." Rineth says.

 

I catch up, and Crystal shifts off of me.
"Thanks, Rineth."

 

"Yeah. If you're getting moving again, let me know. I got another schedule clear from Xlentia." He says, lowering his wing as the group nervously heads inside.

...Once inside, nobody has the gut to say anything in front of Xlentia counting her massive gold coins.

"Fifty two twenty... fifty two twenty one..."

 

I nod to Rineth, walk in, and tap my foot on the floor, Crystal following.

 

She pauses glancing around before she sees the group.
"Oh, mortals, I wasn't expecting visitors!" She says before turning to you and Crystal. "...And it's good to see you again, hons."

"Well... fuck."
"Uhm... hello."
"I-I, uh..."
The rest can't get the words out.

 

"Thanks!"
Crystal smiles.
"Xlentia, these are... well, I haven't really gotten all the names yet, but they wanted to see you."

 

"Why?"

"We, uh... wanted to see what the robot's friends had."
"Well, I have a lot. Like, everything." She says, full of herself.
"That's... both obvious and impressive."

 

"Well, unless you've got something you really want to show them, Xlentia, that's all there is in here."
I comment.

 

"I mean, I'm a lot to see, aren't I?" She says, smug.

"Well..."
"I mean..."
"Yeah, kind of..."

 

"Here." I say.

 

Alice nods.
"I need to ask Lady Tenebrae something anyways. ETA?" She asks, looking ready to beeline to the statue of Tenebrae.

 

"Uh, sure go ahead." I say, looking a little confused.

 

"That wasn't an answer. Whatever." She says, rushing off to the statue and praying once she gets there, trying to consciously link to Tenebrae.

 

Nothing happens.
