Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Artemis nods.

"Most people call Shadows genocidal demons, but that works too." Artemis says, giggling.

Artemis heads through the doors to the throne room being held open by the guards.

"Aj! I have someone who wanted to meet you!" Artemis calls to me.

I glance down at Artemis and Leo.

 

Leo glances up at you.
"You've got a very tolerant girlfriend." He says, not a shred of fear within.

 

"Quite. Why do you wish to meet me?" I ask.

 

Leo shrugs.
"If I could think of an excuse, I'd probably already have said it."

 

I glance at Artemis.

"He just wanted to meet you to see what you're like." Artemis says happily.

"Well, it's nice to meet you. My name is Aj, king of the Shadows. You are?" I ask.

 

"Leo. Don't kings usually have crowns, fancy clothing, and someone else to do their paperwork?" He asks.

 

"Yes, but I haven't changed since I'll be leaving again soon, and some paperwork can only be done by me or the queen." I say.

 

"Leaving?" Leo asks, finally showing signs of emotion.

 

"I adventure a lot, and I plan to meet with an old friend," I say, before looking to Artemis, "By the way, Artemis, Ali has invited us to a meal in Xlentia's palce in a few hours. Would you mind telling Stephanie and the others if you see them?"

"Sure thing." Artemis says, smiling.

 

"You don't seem as unreasonable as that draconian made it sound." Leo comments. "Well, nice meeting you."

 

"Which draconian, may I ask?" I ask.

 

"Yellow scaled, broken claws. Never gave a name, but his entourage did everything perfectly in sync."

 

"Don't think I've met them." I say, shrugging.

 

"Oh well. My study partner said they described you as a 'murderous cunt,' but I can't take anything she says seriously." Leo shrugs back.

 

I laugh.

"You should tell her she should try to come up with some more good insults." I say happily.

 

"I don't think I could resist throwing her off onto the lowlands if I actually told her that." Leo groans.

 

"Hi Thirteen!"
"Oh, hey Crystal. And Ytir, it's good to see you here."
I address the two, finishing by looking down at Ytir.

 

I laugh again.

"Well, it's been nice meeting you, Leo. Feel free to use the palace's facilities if you wish." I say, smiling.

 

"Hi. Chief told me you wanted me up here for something." He says, making eye to socket contact.

"Same. Good luck on your travels, if you're into that sort of thing." He says before turning to Artemis.
"Well, if you're gonna head out somewhere too, I'll leave you to it. Just... I'm trusting you have a way back home."

 

Artemis offers the black crystal to Leo.

"This has enough energy to take you back home, but it'll shatter afterwards." Artemis says.
