Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Artemis picks the orbs up, looking them over.

 

They seem to have a flexible spectral net between them, and they feel as if they're filled with unstable, explosive magic.

 

Artemis takes the orbs back her meditation area, sitting down and trying to explore her memories for where she's seen them before.

 

Ihra... fight... rebirth...

It takes a good ten minutes of deep thinking, but then it hits her - it's Feiha's weapon.

 

Artemis gasps, looking at the orbs again with familiarity.

 

The net was used obviously as a snare, and the orbs thrown as a weapon and reformed around her. With Feiha gone...

...Leo interrupts the moment.
"You recognize them?"

 

"Yes, they're a weapon that was once used against me. I don't mean to sound rude, but do you think you could give me some time? I'm trying to remember the moment." Artemis asks.

 

"Ah, my apologies." Leo says, stepping back.


From what scraps of memory Artemis can piece together, Feiha wasn't very accurate, but with explosives you don't particularly need to be. That being said, she still dogged the group in interest of getting at a vault from one of the cities on the world she first met Ihra... Emerald-something.

 

Artemis keeps thinking, before remembering a few pieces of information about Emeraldonia and it's vault, albeit vague.

Artemis looks at the orbs, seeing if there's any traces of Feiha on it.

 

Holding the orbs, I check if they look familiar.

"Hm."
Crystal says, continuing to walk.

 

There are a few. However, considering what Xlentia said about the immortality protocol, it might be enough to work with.

They seem roughly familiar, like one's...
Ah, that's it, they're Feiha's weapon. You've blown one of the orbs up in your face before.

 

Artemis smiles, content, glancing over at Leo.

 

Yes, just as I thought.
Seeing has Artemis has them now, I look to her to see what she's doing.

 

He's waiting idly.

She's scanning them for something, but you can't tell what.

Ytir stays close to Crystal's heels.
"Wait... why am I here again?"

 

I just keep watching.

"To talk with people."

 

"Right. Is it a comfort thing or something?"

 

"Sorta? I mean, it'll be good to know people, right?"

 

"Ah." I say, "Oh, and have you any idea where the rest of the main group went?"

 

"I guess, but what's the point if they just stay in the respite?"

"No. Most of them went home; I tried to get some of them to come back, but they hardly seem interested."

 

"You can still be friends with them. And, isn't the respite the only place where you can grow stuff?"
