Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She appears right back where she was, Kiin sitting on the floor.

"Whatever. Leo, I'm off." She mumbles, leaving.
"Thank the gods... If it's any comfort, you handled her well."

 

Aquira walks past Kiin, heading to the crow's nest and shouting up to the air guardians.


Artemis just shrugs.

 

"Mommy?" Kiin says as Aquira goes by, confused.

"That aside, she did get the nutrient balance corrected. She just always has to make a scene..."

 

"Yes?" Aquira asks.


"I guess she's useful for something then." Artemis says, smirking.

 

"Did you see them?"

Leo rolls his eyes.
"I mean, she's ought to make a good distraction for some giant storybook monster."

 

"I was wondering, how long did it take for Xlentia to get all her books?"

 

Aquira nods, before heading up to the ship's wheel.


"The monsters I've seen would kill her in an instant." Artemis says.

 

"I'm still writing them even today."

"Did you like them?" Kiin asks, tired.

"I'd love to meet one, then." Leo snickers.

 

Aquira nods again.


"You can if you want. One of them is my boyfriend." Artemis says happily.

 

Kiin lets herself drift off, still weak.

"I feel like that shouldn't be a compliment, but if he's not going to kill me, sure."

 

"He won't." Artemis says happily, taking out a black crystal.

 

Leo waits, curious.

 

Artemis offers a hand to take.

 

Leo hesitates.
"I don't want to leave the robot hanging."

 

"Oh, that's fine. You can come see me when you want to go, I'll head back to to meditating." Artemis says happily.

 

"Will do. Also, if you know what that thing I gave the robot is, feel free to take it in his stead."

 

Artemis looks confused.

 

Leo points to three red orbs joined by a half-physical thread of sorts. It seems vaguely familiar, but it's hard to remember.

 

Artemis tries her best to try and figure out where she might have seen the orbs before.

 

It just won't come. Maybe if she gets a better look or picks them up?
