Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I first do a quick check for survivors.

"Uhh, yeah, sure. Do you want to get out of there?"
Crystal asks, lowering the walls of his 'pouch'.

 

Aquira sorts some things out on her ship before diving down to her underwater home and looking for either, concerned.

 

(There's also anything Katie may have left at the door)

The note Aquira sent back is pinned to the door with icy needles, "love you both very much" ripped out via claw.
Seems Kiin didn't take it well.

There's two people trapped in debris, one unconscious.

"Preferably." He says, hopping out. "Thanks, though."

 

I put the book back and look around for Emily.

 

I quickly try removing the debris, getting the people out into the open.

"No problem! So, you wanted to see this Ytir guy?"

 

Aquira, concerned, heads inside and calls for Kiin, looking around.

 

I never get these forum roleplays, what's so fun about it?

 

It's fun for me to let my imagination go. So it's fun for me to do this.

More falls into place, but they scramble out with minor wounds.
"Thanks... damn I was worried I'd need to cut off my leg to get out."
"Oh, quit overreacting. I told you the likelihood of rescue was decent."

"Yeah, he's my only advisor who isn't good in a fight. He calls himself curious, and everyone else calls him dumb, but I've got a hunch he could be on to something."

No response at all.

 

Aquira searches her home, before swimming around outside, looking for Kiin.

 

It takes an hour, but Aquira finds a chunk of ice frozen to the bottom of the ocean, Kiin inside.

 

Aquira gets her ship to extract the ice, lifting it onto the deck and having fire guardians melt it.

 

Kiin's unconscious, skinny and scales soft. She's not breathing, but by luck it seems Aquira avoided an angry Xlentia coming by to ask what happened - Kiin still has a life force.

 

Aquira gets a few air guardians to try and get Kiin breathing again.

 

In Kiin's state, they have to be extremely careful, but after a minute of water slowly being spat out, they manage to get Kiin breathing, albeit faintly.

 

"Well, other than being a bit crushed, are you two okay?"
I ask.

"Like what?"
Crystal asks, shifting into an upwards standing position.

 

Aquira remains by Kiin, having her crew keep an eye on her current state until she's conscious.

 

Two hours later, Kiin weakly opens her eyes.

"Think so."
"Yeah, thanks."

"Oh, he snuck off one day. He apparently met with a mantis who taught him how to tie pieces of dead grass together to help keep the wind out of our dens."

 

Aquira smiles kindly at her.

"Hey, Kiin. How are you feeling?" Aquira asks.

 

"Mommy, I'm sorry..." She utters.
