Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well, help yourself. Make sure everyone gets some. I need to go see if someone else made it here."
I say, stepping away from the crops, and flying off to look for the guards.

 

Emerald giggles before letting the connection drop.

Of course there's a section about Xlentia.
...it's just on the top floor.

Seems there's a few books, but most of them are off the shelf. The ones left detail her abilities, her personality, and the former extent of the Void Palace.

The guards are still en route, checking houses as they go.

 

I land near them.
"Anyone else?"

Meanwhile, Crystal checks to see if Aral'hrah is awake.

 

I head back to the throne room, continuing with paperwork.

 

"Three more. None of them formerly employed."

He's answered with a yawn.

-Meanwhile-
Once Aquira returns, neither Kiin nor Katie are home.

 

"Huh. And you sent them to the house?"

"Hey."
Crystal says softly, taping Aral'hrah on the head.

 

"Yep."



"Hmm... hi." He groans.

 

"Do you know where there could be any more?"

"Hi."
Crystal smiles, sitting down and looking down at Aral'hrah.
"The plants in the farm are alive again."
He points out.

 

"The rest of town, I guess?"

"I'm not that hungry." He says, glancing at Crystal before yawning, razor sharp teeth showing.

 

"Well, where haven't you searched?"

"Do you wanna do anything?"
Crystal asks.

 

"Stronghold, outside the walls, and Housing Block C, southeast quadrant of town."

"I dunno. What is there now?"

 

"I'll check Housing Block C, then search outside the walls. You should probably finish up here then get some food."
I suggest.

"Well, there's this whole place."
Crystal says, stretching his hands out.
"Maybe there's someone around. Maybe you can get to know somebody."

 

I read about the former extent of the Void Palace.

 

"Thanks! Let me know if you find anyone.""

"I know, but... it's not like there's the strong kingdom there used to be here. It's barely intact, by the looks of it."

Seems it used to be triple the size, less for Xlentia but more for her servants. Things went downhill once the Hive Master got a foothold.

 

"I will."
I then fly off towards it.

"Well, then, people will want to know more people, right?"

 

Housing Block C, or outside the walls?

"I mean... will my kind even be tolerated, now that they're even resorting to killing each other?"

 

I read about what happened to the rest of the palace.

 

It seems that the rest of the palace was either destroyed or used to be made up of various creatures, which died or were mind controlled when Xlentia fell.

Crystal shrugs.
"I dunno. But I do know that... that people don't hate by default. And the only way you can test theories is by trying."

 

Landing, you seem to have two options. Go door to door on the houses that still have ones, or check for any survivors within the half-wrecked housing block.

"I... personally would rather someone else do it. Maybe Ytir? He doesn't seem to mind being next to humans. Can we go back and get him?" Aral'hrah asks.
