If anything fails, Heat would cool and become insane, essentially becoming a monster. If reheated, he would become sane again.

Heat has a temperature system
Too low: Becomes insane due to malfunctions
Too high: Insane because of mental corruption

I'd be more comfortable with too low since I'd rather face off against a malfunctioning robot due to it's mental and likely physical ability being lowered.

 

I hope it will become too high ! :D

 

Why?!

 

Cold: Mental health completely intact, body becomes useless. You have a useless party member (unless you find a use for a warforged just sitting there crackling and sizzling).
Hot: Mental health kills itself, body is still useful. You have a rampaging warforged that is likely molten.
I see what you mean
but keep in mind that Heat will go into hibernation before going into such states. So, if you have to be somewhere that has high or low temperatures, you'd have to make it quick hehe

EDIT: Also, it wouldn't be ideal to have a loud, clanking and roaring warforged while trying to keep quiet (like trying to hide, or trying to sleep/explore at night)

 

And if you go rogue, we can pour water down your throat!

@Nem although none of this is actually how a warforged functions, if it's how you function, then I can use it somehow.

I had a warforged who could not read emotion or sarcasm. Someone said their name was "captain d*ckhead" and my warforged legit called him that all campaign.

It's interesting to have a temperature oriented character. This campaign does not have any extreme temperatures planned, but you never know

I wonder what would happen if we dropped you in the ocean...

He's lucky to not be in the other campaign, considering my character's understanding of how actions affect people...

 

Warforged as a race feature don't need to breathe, so he can't drown. But the temperature thing...

As a playful prank, she shoves him in the ocean, knowing that he doesn't have to breathe. She did not account for the fact that he runs off of heat, and you know what happens when you cut off fire's oxygen supply.
