tl;dr

A crazed van driver went on the pavement (at least 50mph witnesses say) and knocked down about 20 people. Driver then got out and proceeded to stab multiple people before being shot by armed police (?) which are actually now a common sight.

Then elsewhere gunshots and other things like that at a market, about 15 minutes later afaik.

Now they're gonna say that the terrorists were "already known to the autorities", I'm sure of it.

 

As a Londoner, I can say that the effect on and threat to us most of is is minimal. The only thing that can cause London to stop functioning normally is light snow.

Why do you believe at face value something that is nothing but a slideshow without any context narrated to you by somebody who doesn't even show you real footage or even pictures showing the event taking place ?

I couldn't find any footage of the thing, nor one article by a large media outlet, and I'm french. I don't think it didn't happen, but I don't think it's reasonnable for you to assume this is reality where all you've shown is a slideshow of pictures without context.

Also, the point that I was discussing was from your original statement where you claimed :

I don't intend that as a serious point. Not all French (read: a minority) aggresively hate muslims in the same way not all refugees (read: a minority) agressively hate French. You can't make such generalisations and claim them to be true by providing 2 isolated cases. A few thugs don't represent the whole population of migrants, it's a simple case of the agressive actions being the more newsworthy. Of course there aren't articles on refugees leading peaceful, normal lives, because that isn't newsworthy. But agressive refugees comitting crimes is newsworthy. It's the same with any group of people really. Not all feminists want all men to die. Not all BLM supporters want cops to be killed.

Second off, the Pulse nightclub shooter was a US Citizen, the 9/11 attackers were in the US with temporary visas, and the San Bernadino gunmen were US citizens or here with visas. The only way to stop these people is to literally ban EVERYONE, not just refugees, but citizens, tourists, ETC, ETC. and that includes non-muslim people, as, if we're really so risk-averse to do that, we might as well ban everyone, just to be safe, as they can be secretly radicalized due to Social Media.
Third, the ENTIRE POINT of terrorism is to look like a bigger threat than it is; that's how it spreads; the more drastic measures taken by the enemy, the better propaganda you can produce, and the more people you recruit, creating a feedback cycle that only helps the terrorists.

 

I'm not saying that we should ban tourists/etc. I'm saying that we should ban countries that support terrorism such as (Qatar,Iran,Iraq,Libya,Edit:Saudi Arabia) so that they can no longer spread.

If the Terrorists spread they will be a threat for LGBT and other Human Rights(Which they already do.
