Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh, I guess you could come with me then!" Eve says happily, opening the portal.

"The queen is." The guard at the doors says.

 

"May I deliver it to her personally, or should I simply leave the note with you?" Alice asks, summoning a letter in her hand.

 

"You can deliver it personally if you wish." The guard says.

 

"Thank you. Is she in the throne room, or elsewhere? If the former, can you let me know when I may enter?"

 

"You first."
I offer, gesturing towards the portal.

 

The guard opens the door to the throne room for Alice instead of answering.

Eve heads through the portal, followed by Artemis.

 

Alice tucks the letter away as she enters the throne room, kneeling once inside.

 

Crystal and I follow through.

 

I end the link and sit on my throne, before attempting to open a link with Vir.

 

You succeed.
"Yes, Terrae?" He asks, slightly impatient.

 

"Ah, I'd like to know exactly what it is that CKB did to gain your favor."

 

"He didn't do much. He was wronged, and those are the ones I stand up for. Doggedly torturing a creature simply for what it is made for, with very few exceptions, is worth my time. And CKB was that creature."

 

"Ah. How exactly was he wronged?"

 

"Hunted. Blamed for terrible things he never did. So, I turned that around."

 

"Yes?" Shadow Stephanie asks from her throne.

You find yourselves in Maralune, as you would expect, Artemis following Eve toward the human settlement.

Crystal and I trail the two of them.

"Well, we're here. Sorry for the wait."
Crystal whispers to Aral'hrah.

 

"Ah. I see. Thank you for your time." I say, ending the link.

 

"Your majesty, I wanted to ensure that, if you are not yet aware, your form has permitted a bug to store paintings in your museum." Alice says, tone suggesting she's holding back a few details.


The respite is starting to waiver, but the battery claims it has a few minutes left.

He seems to have fallen asleep at some point.

Seems he had already cut it. He sounded busy, anyways.

 

Crystal gently rubs his head, but then goes back to walking.

 

"And what do you know about this bug?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


Eve quickly heads through the settlement, flying up to the old inhibitor and putting the new, more efficient one down next to it, turning it on and turning the old one off.

Artemis looks around to see how people are.
