I Need Artists For A Video Game! Big Rewards To The Key!

Hello!

So I'm in the process of making my first big project; as a game creator : In Between Games. I'm working alone on this project, since I'm pretty decent at anything a game needs, and when I'm not good at something like sound designing I can still search on the Internet! However a video game does need drawing and I'm awful at it! So that's why I come here! Wynncraft has plentiful talented artist!

The reward for this hard work will be BIG!
I'm giving :
- A seeker aid (Extra rare helmet, from the seeker event, there is like only 8/9 of them in Wynncraft)
- A full set of Nether armor (old)
- A Pumpkin Helmet
- 20 LEs (Well I'm not that rich in term of real money IG sooo)
- Your name in the credits of my game
- A free Key of my game if it passes Greenlight

So you're probably wondering what is my game about? Well it is a platformer which pay tribute to 3 big retro platformer games : Mario/Megaman/Sonic.
What is the story about? It is about a young boy named Alex, which got trapped into his console and has to finish the levels to get out. Pretty simple :P

So the main hero is this little dude :





I need exactly 7 drawings; I've drawn some guidelines for each of them, they have things I WANT in those drawings, for the rest you can do whatever you want! You can add some background scene for the main as long as I have the boy, the TV and the window for ecample.

- one for the main screen (1920x1080)
There is no need to have lots of details, I know this resolution is big work already
Don't make mario looks like mario on the TV... Maybe some cheap character with a red helmet instead of a cap or something :

If you're an artist and you've just seen my drawing you must understand why I said I'm awful at it :P
The final goal is to release it on Steam for like 0.99$. (I don't do it for money, it's just kinda a dream to release a video-game, and now that I think I'm able to; I'm motivated as hell!)
I need the drawing to be digital! The artstyle is yours to choose!
I know this will take a lot of work, so thank you for your time!

Do I have to draw all of this, just to participate? And I'm not even sure to be chosen?!
Of course not! Just draw the main screen (which is the first thing on list) and then I will choose the best main screen drawing based on my opinion!
(Don't forget to put a watermak on your drawing)

About the winner :
Once there is enough participation, I will choose the winner, and will contact him to make the remaining drawings, once they're all done the reward will be given. (You can put a watermark before the trade if you wish to!)


Again thank you! I know this is a huge request but I don't really know any artists around me and I think the Wynncraft Community is the best way to find one!

Can this be like just plain digital or does it need to be pixel art
Cause I suck at pixel art but I MIGHT be able to whip something up for plain digtal

No restrictions on that ! Plain digital is good as well as pixel art ! (But tbh pixel art on a resolution 1920x1080 seems a bit hard to me ? )

How many participants are you excpecting

 

4 or 3 would be nice, I don't expect much participation since it's quite a hard work! I'll choose a winner when there is at least 3 participations and if there is a background I really like!

 

Hello Alexandress, I would be more than happy to participate for the art of this game. I am not a professional artist but I can try to please you with my submissions. If you are ok with the Main title, story etc. to be pixelated then I can make that happen, but if you would like it like the ones in your examples, then I can try to do that. I already have a few samples of what it would look like. And if you want a pixelated scenary for the background or a normal one, then how many backgrounds will there be?

Hello ! It's up to you if you want to make it pixelated or not. You choose the artstyle ! I do think that making it pixel looking isn't that good because of the huge resolution, and because "lore-wise" he is not IN the game yet, so he has no reason to be pixelated like my sprite.
Feel free to send me your samples if you want my opinions before posting your final drawing. I'm not sure to get your questions on the backgrounds tho ? I will need 7 pictures in total as decribed on the thread but first you must draw the main screen, and if I choose your drawing, you'll get to do the others and get the rewards !

It looks good ! I like your artstyle, and the mario-like character is cool !
The logo and the others buttons, aren't meant to be on your drawing, it was just an indicative ! But it looks like it can be removed without removing any drawing under, so it's good !
Maybe you could add some background too ? It feels a bit empty for a main screen, the things I specified on my drawing are obligatory things to draw on yours, but you're free to add anything else !

So will the whole game switch between art styles between each game, or will it be the same?
Also what resolution (pixels/cm) should it be?

Well you have to keep your artstyle between each picture because you will see them at the beginning of the game (main screen, intro) and at the end. (victory screen)
There will be no art in between each game transition, so no need to change your style ! The main screen has to be 1920x1080. I will give you specific instructions for the others drawings if I choose you !

It looks good ! I like the character! You really got how he looks like! His clothes are on point as well as his hairs, only his glasses that needs to be pure square! I also love that logo! That gamepad is so cool! :D
You could make the room less empty by adding a shelf or some others things maybe? Because a room without anything except a TV looks quite weird in my opinion. You could maybe also make the thunder looks better? By adding cloud or something? He looks like he came from nowhere! :P
