Abandoned Mines Secret

    So I was exploring above the abandoned mines and read about a miner shoving things under pillows, so I started going around and tossing emeralds at pillows under miners tents and for two of them a hopper collected the emeralds. This cant be random and Im sure theres a secret here but I cant find anywhere else on the forums that talks about it. Has this been solved or is it nothing?
