Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie gives a thumbs up, smiling.

 

"Good enough for my paintings?" She asks, seeming content with her lesson.

 

"I'd say so." Stephanie says happily.

 

"Uh... do you have an extra pen I could use to sign?" She asks, standing up.

 

"Oh, you can use that one." Stephanie says, pointing to the pen the Matriarch was using for her lesson.

 

"Great, thanks! I'll have my guards carry in the paintings, then I'll have to get them to go back. They hate leaving me on my own because they worry I'll feel unsafe and then have a heart attack." She sighs, picking up the pen and heading towards the portal.

 

"I'll wait here to make sure everything goes smoothly." Stephanie says, smiling.

 

She nods, soon returning with eight guards relaying her paintings as she signs them on the back of the canvas as not to mess with the paintings themselves.
"Uhm... how many people will be seeing these? I was wondering if there was a way I could learn how visitors feel about my paintings, so maybe I can improve."

 

"There are occasionally open days in the museum where a lot of people come to view the artwork. You could always visit then and ask people how they feel about your artwork." Stephanie says.

 

"Uhm... would they even be willing to approach me? Seeing as, I'm not native to this realm?"

 

Stephanie just shrugs.

 

"Maybe I can just watch from a distance one day?" She asks, still signing her paintings. "Also, what are the little metal pieces next to each work? I noticed even the statues had them."

 

"Oh, those are nameplates. It generally has the name of the piece and creator on it." Stephanie says.

 

"That's convenient. I guess I should work on naming my paintings, then... oh well, that's a task for another day." She says happily. "I really can't thank you enough for offering to help safekeep my art... I just hope your friends don't turn out to be thieves like the last people who helped me were."

 

"Why would we want to steal it when we can view it here?" Stephanie asks, confused.

 

"I didn't mean it that way. Just... not everyone who's visited my home is as genuine as you are. I always thought that if I became the pinnacle of formality, I would be treated with reciprocated respect. That hasn't been the case."

 

"That's sad to hear." Stephanie says sympathetically.

 

"Well, seems my luck's turning around, at least." She says, finishing her signatures.
"...And that's the last one. Do you have a ladder or something, or are other people going to come hang these up?"

 

"I'll get some people to come hang these up." Stephanie says, turning to leave.

 

The Matriarch just waits, looking over each of her paintings.
