Warrior/Knight Hero Air Build

Introduction
I wanted to make a fun build based around air damage and walk speed (ik these kind of build are reeeaaally rare, you've never seen anything like this), but I hope my approach is at least a tiny bit unique to the other ws/air builds. Keep in mind the is the first build I am sharing and I still have to learn a lot when it comes to finiding the right item combinations. I am open for suggestions, criticism and I'll keep trying to improve this build. Sadly I haven't been able to get my hands on a Hero, I just can't afford it (willing to accept donations :P)

Items

Helmet:

Basically for walk speed, air damage, and meele and earth damage is nice too!

Chestplate:

Air damage, walk speed, strength points, over all really good, but hard to get a perfect one

Pants:

Nice health regen, speed and air damage, fire defense and lots of health (trying to counter some of the weaknesses of the build)

Boots:

Walk speed, agility and air damage; over all pretty good

Accessories:

Lots of options here:
You could go for Raging Wind for more air damge and ws or Summa if you want skill points and mana regen.
The bracelet could be the Diamond Steam Bracelet or a Contrail, Prowess if you need more skill points
Diamond Fusion necklace for skill points and elemental defense could be usefull or a LI steam necklace, maybe even a Lapis Necklace if you want more mana regen (I do not know if all of these combinations work out with the skill points)

Stats
Note: I took the stats of the following accessory combination: 2x Summa, LI steam, LI dia fusion
(not considering holding a weapon)
Health: 8805 at lvl 100
Elemental Defenses: 355/205/40/85/985
Walk speed: +87%-130%
Air damage: +73%-96%
Earth damage: +22%
Meele damage: +29%-44%

Least amount of skill points: 78/33/0/33/107

This setup requires a total of 236 skill points.
From all those items you can get up to 92 extra skill points, making you able to spend up to 290 sp at lvl 100. I recommend adding all your left over skill points to inteligence to gain a least a bit spell reduction.

Damage
Using @motoki1 damage calculator I've come up with the following values (without dexterity procs):
Meele: ~1200 per hit
Bash: ~9000
Uppercut: ~12500
Charge: ~4800
War Scream: ~430

Use instead of Wind Mimic, Capricorn for Walk speed, + Agility and very important, the Mana regen.

 

Thanks. Haven't considered that. It seems really good, but idk if it will work out with the skill points, since it requires 65 int. You might have to use prowess then

The skill points you suggested are not possible if one intends on using Diamond Fusion Necklace. It has an intelligence requirement.

 

I think you could improve this build in some ways, but it's actually decent for a first build. My first build was much worse than this.
I'm not very good at earth/air builds, so I can't suggest improvements for the full build, but I'd suggest using Gigabyte as the necklace and replacing Wind Mimic with Capricorn. I'd go for a strength/intel/agil skill point build. I'd not invest any skill points after the intel needed to use Capricorn. Maybe we can talk in-game and I can give you some help with items, because I think you could've used some better items for this. Maybe removing Hephaestus Greaves and adding Vaward could help too, because I'm not sure if this would work right because of the skill point requirements.

Good for your friend. I never said this didn't have the potential to do good damage, I said that it's glassy and that you're wasting skill points.

The Dune Storm build in the OP has essentially the same health as Vaward's, as well as having significantly better defenses with everything positive, whereas Vaward's build has bad earth and fire defense. Both builds are glassy, sure, but the OP's build comparatively has significantly higher survivability through much better elemental defenses and health regen. It also has more walk speed, which equates to better strafing ability.

 

Mine has more health, aswell as more damage, and more agility. This build also has very high intelligence which allows for more spells doing even more damage

 

Yours has about 500 more health. That's certainly not a lot, and if he uses, say, Prowess instead of Dia Steam Brace, he has more than you.
The point is that some of your defenses are bad enough that you'll probably get one-shot if you get hit. He'll probably survive.

 

Actually, wasting your skill points on Dune Storm will stop you from having more in agility, which will increase survivability.

 

There are a fuckton of things wrong with this build, among them, shit defenses, shit hp, and shit actual defense. You lack survivability, do bad damage, with bad mana regen. This build is definitely not better than @OP's.

Having agility does not increase survivability, not in the way you're saying it will.
It will block damage, but when you do get hit once, its all over. You're dead.
The RNG factor isn't enough to justify this is a 'survivable' build. Any build that stacks agility is not a good tank.

Your main damage is spells. You have 2 mana regen.

 

with lots of intel, you can also use concentrations instead of intensity

 

Then you have 6 mana regen and even worse defenses and survivability.
Also, 2x intensity... seriously?
You also can't get too much intel on this build, due to the fact that you need ~30 str, and the reqs for the hive chestplate.

Seriously, its just not a good build.
