Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Onyx eventually teleports the group to the portal room, walking over to the terminal and typing in it.

 

I stay back, waiting for the portal to open, while Crystal walks up to Onyx.
"So... what are you?"

 

"im a cat, but im also a human. i can change between being a cat and a human, and some people have called me a neko." Onyx says as she types, seeming to be talking to the helper AI.

 

"Oh, cool. So, did Aj make you?"

 

"no, h-he sort of rescued me in a way" Onyx says.

 

"What happened?"

 

"w-well, i was hunted beclaws of what i am, and these people from a nearby village would constantly come to my family to try and kill them. one night though, i heard screaming, and there was this black fire and shadows were killing all the people who hunted me. i ran over to some of the shadows in my human form, beclaws i wanted to thank them, but then one of the purrvivors saw me and shot me in the side. they seemed to focus on killing me instead of the shadows, and they stabbed me befur another shadow killed them. i had to revert to my cat form, and i searched fur more shadows to hopefully ask them fur help, and i noticed aj going into one of the houses. i ran toward the house as fast as i could despite being wounded, and i had to run through a purrtal aj was stepping through with a human baby. t-then i dont remember much, but i woke up in the medical ward and my wounds were gone, but there were people that looked like the ones that had hunted me checking on me, so i stayed in my cat furm," Onyx explains, "it was only recently that ive shown aj who i really am, beclaws artemouse was really nice to me and she seemed really kind, so i showed her who i was and she seemed to like me more"

 

"Aww, that's nice."
Crystal smiles.

 

Onyx smiles back, seeming a little shaken after explaining her story, before the portal opens up.

 

"Thanks, Onyx."
I say, approaching the portal.
"Will you be joining us?"

 

"i-i think ill go back to my cat-nap if thats ok" Onyx says, yawning, the yawn turning into a slight meow at the end.

 

"Go ahead."
I nod.

 

Onyx leaves through the elevator, waving before she teleports.

 

Crystal and I wave before entering the portal.

 

You find yourself in the garden outside Stephanie's shared house. The forest is probably the best place to check for Artemis.

 

"Woah..."
"Yeah, it's pretty nice. Stephanie gave me a tour not too long ago."
I say, going to the forest.

 

There's coloured, glowing orbs hanging from tree branches along a path into the forest, and you can just about hear Artemis talking further in.

 

We keep walking, Crystal looking around and me heading straight forward.

 

The forest is quite expansive, trees in every direction, and you eventually come to a living space of sorts. A hammock made of vines and leaves hung between trees, drying racks with meat next to some knives and a small firepit in the centre. Artemis' voice can still be heard further in the forest, however.

 

We keep going, looking around for her.
