Archer/Hunter Wtf Is This Build

this is a water thunder fire build, what did you think wtf stood for?

Sidenote: This build was created for @summitsun who said he wanted a "glass cannon screw defense" build, or something along those lines. Of course I had to add some survivability, though I did sacrifice some of it for damage. Also, this set several things I needed to work around (1 Master Hive item, no LI items, no quest items he didn't have)


Anima-Infused Helmet - It's practically perfect for this build. Some great spell damage, high health, and good elemental defense, which as you will see later is very necessary.

Aquarius - The mana regen allows us to focus on other things for the rest of the build, which is very nice. Spell damage is great too. The negative thunder damage is annoying but not much more than that.

Leggings of Desolation - 26% spell damage and poison makes this appealing. The -300 water defense does the opposite. (I probably would have taken Heph in this slot but restrictions and glass cannon)

Paradox - Some pretty good health, mana regen, and spell damage. Sign me up will ya? (Exploding is also nice to abuse exploding-LS while it's still abusable, I guess.)
Scorpio isn't too bad in this slot, thanks @bloww for the suggestion


Prism - Skill points and elemental defense.

Prism - Skill points and elemental defense.

Gigabyte - Skill points, some health, and a bit of damage and health regen.

Clockwork - Some great health and decent elemental defenses too. Cactus potential is always helpful.


Hellstrand - DPS-wise one of the best bows, and it comes with some spell damage and life/mana steal.

Cluster - A good neutral secondary. Leave unpowdered.


(He also asked me for pre-level 100 substitutes, so they're Anima --> Spectre and Prisms --> Reminder + Summa. A lot glassier but I didn't see a much better workaround - if you do feel free to yell at me for sucking at this game)

Powders should be water (compensate for bad defenses) and fire (if you want the special).

 

thunder special sucks so put fire and water powders
add scorpio as an alternative to paradox

(also didn't think of scorpio, but i'd rather not kill my water defense by the amount scorpio does. also negative fire damage isn't fun)

(It doesn't even get much more damage overall though, Scorpio has 26% thunder while Paradox has 26% spell)

 

I actually am working towards a fire tank build. I know this person you speak of wanted a glass cannon, but I have a more durable archer build here ;)

Spoiler: Fire Tank Build Details

I will suggest my end build pieces first followed by lower level gear for anyone interested

Wynncraft Build - Fire Tank Archer

Head - Legendary - Amina-Infused Helmet or Darksteel Full Helm

Chest - Rare - Soulflare or Coal Duster

Legs - Legendary - Vaward or Ardiente

Boots - Legendary - Exhaustion or Nether's Scar (yeah its not my go to item even though it 'could' be better) or The Stokers (if you dont like the negative mana regen from exhaustion [it really isn't that bad since other pieces counter it])

Bow - Legendary - Cluster or Hellstrand or Plague or Ignis or Freedom [okay maybe not freedom, anyone can try though] (yeah all the fire bows work with this really, it is just a matter of throwing fire powders on'em)

Ring - Diamond Solar or Hellion

Ring - Diamond Solar or Hellion

Bracelet - Diamond Solar or Justice (for regen) or Ra (This thing is actually not half bad for its level) or Dupiblaze (Solar is better but a Dupiblaze is closer match than Justice or Ra than any other lower level bracelet)

Necklace - Diamond Solar or Fiery Torc or (I dunno any other good fire necklaces [msg me if you have one!])

Yeah the water air earth defenses will be shit. Powders you should equip are: definately water, definately air, maybe earth. The powders will depend mostly on what your stats are when you equip your items. I would just check compass and equip the necessary powders to keep your stats out of the negative I guess. As you can tell I am not one for powders on armor.

@summitwei well, yea. it still has a good hp pool and intense fire dmg. Fire damage was more important to me than the defenses in the first place. I just didn't want to be a flimsy 4000 hp archer at the back lol. By archer standards I think this is a pretty tough build. I would like to see a tougher archer build that also does good dmg if you have one cause I don't. ;(

 

This build is quite decent at survivability and its DpS is decent

Also not sure if you want specifically a fire build but here have a very tanky thunder build that works on archer

Good to great defenses with powders, an absurd amount of health. The problem is that it requires four Master Hive items.

 

It does spell damage jsut2 buff the spell damage of the attack so if you're doing 3 typs of damage than 20% in each one of them worth 20% spell damage only negative that it effects only the spell and elemental damage buff both melee and spell but archer melee sucks anyway and youre using Aquarius so

Baiscly 1% in each element of your damage = 1% spell damage if your using spells same for melee with melee% so unless youre doing single elemental damage type take with spell or melee over it for example puting on fire sanc when youre using ignis will have a big effect on damage whille if youre wearing fire sanc while using freedom would have fifth of the effect in case the elements on freedom doing same damage each one not sure tho

 

@jonathan040701 that was weirdly written but I understand. If you use a weapon with multiple elements, and have extra dmg in one element, it will be weaker since the weapon's dmg is spread over multiple elements. Therefore if you are using just one element on a weapon with only neutral and that element, you get the best effect. Having one elemental dmg combined with spell or melee dmg therefore should give the greatest dmg increase. :)
