Your shading and features are way better than before. I see someone discovered texturised brushes and left behind the soft and harsh ones, that only make shading look very muddy, and are as well very difficult to work with. Though, don't get too carried away with the textures and details, I can see some dark spots on the left cheek and the white spots around the mouth, which look like unblended brush streaks, rather than natural texture.

If you placed them there on purpose, my guess is because you're having trouble with which textures go around that area. My advice is that you search online for hyperrealistic photography to show you the diversity of textures, and to show you that the texture on the cheeks is not the same as the one on the forehead, nor the one below the eyes.

In fact, you could make your own brushes. if you have photoshop—which, it's mandatory if you want to really take hyperrealism to the next level, so I suggest you get it—you can search on the internet on how to make your own custom brushes. It's really easy, and you can make these brushes from the pictures online, and doing that would really unify your research with your analysis by creating tools from it.

The brush you used to texturise the entire face, that one that has a coarse texture, I recommend that you use on the cheeks, it mimics pores very well, I'm guessing it is a concrete brush. When used on the forehead, it looks like her forehead is made out of concrete, when foreheads usually are the softest areas of the face and detailed by some horizontal wrinkles and pigmentation due to sun exposure (and on the T-zone, it can have some pores, specially on men, because of acne). So, this is just an example to show you how the correct textures can change things. Another example that leads me to see you have texture problems are the eyebrows. I think finding brushes is harder than making them your own, plus when you made them you know exactly which brush is which, unlike downloading brush packs which can be very puzzling remember which brush is which.

So, yeah, I hope my advice works for you, if you do try it.

Thank you for this advice! Unfortunately I can't use custom brushes made from pictures as I'm using a broken Paint Tool Sai version. But thank you <3

Haha, well, if it's broken, you should just crack Photoshop too. It really does make a difference. If you have Mac I can help you do some illegal stuff lmao.

Looking at the guides for making brushes for PTS, none of them have a happy ending and they're all complicated for what the end results are.

the brush you used for your shadows and highlighting covered all details you had done and smudged it, making it look more like your previous alliteration of this drawing. When doing the light and shadows, it also distorted and modified some of the face features, like the cupid's bow, nose, and one of the eyes now has eyeliner and the other doesn't; I presume you were trying to do the lighting intricate details eyelashes can create, but it didn't by adding a black line at the root of the eyelashes. I recommend you add highlights to the eyelashes, specially on the darker side.

However, the lighting game you did of double light sources is pretty ambitious, I'll give you that, but was it really worth it when it killed all your details? I recommend that you learn to use the layer modes Paint Tool Sai has. This will prevent it from happening again, and will definitely help you be more organised with your documents.

As far as the hair, there is no improvement whatsoever from your previous drawings, other than the hairline doesn't looks as synthetic anymore.
