First off, I'm not sure this even belongs here, and if it doesn't i'll kindly take it down and move it where it needs to go, but seeing as it is item and money related, i'll put it here.

Here you can donate money and items to Wanderers to help the newer or less fortunate people of Wynn.
Now just because i'm asking doesn't mean you have to, and if you want to doesn't mean you should give me a Mythic or something for donations, keep it short and sweet, 24 EB for a horse for a horse-less player or something, or if someone lost or needs an item. I don't expect this Donation to be some huge thing either, so small things count.

How do we know you're not going to keep the items

It's a good question, but I will say that I'll pre-emptively vouch for this guild and its leader. I spoke with him regarding helping me deal with Reincarnation. Not only did he agree to help, he was very polite and didn't request payment. This seems legitimate to me, and I think it's a good idea to donate to a worthy cause. I already give horses and items to new players, so my thinking is that it can only be beneficial to help a guild which does the same. Skepticism is a good trait to have though, I'll grant you that. :)

You're not entirely incorrect about that spelling, however in the early 1900's, specifically around 1910, American English began to replace the 'c' with a 'k' for all forms of the word. It may also have come about in the 1800's as a different event, although it appears to have been mainly a result of Noah Weber's spelling reforms. Another theory is that the older pronunciation of the word used the 'c' to sound more like an 's', as in 'scipio', where the 'c' is really nearly silent and the 's' takes the stage. From what I gather, the older 'sc' spelling is still commonly used throughout the rest of the world. Normally I like to use the non-American spellings of words because I prefer their look, but I really prefer the 'k' in this word. Agree to disagree, I guess. Cheers. :)

Edit: I looked more into it and it appears that the old French was 'sceptique', with a soft 'sc' sound. In English, the 'sc' became a hard sound and eventually morphed into an 'sk'. Although use of the 'sc' variant is apparently fading even outside of the US now.

 

Why thank you for vouching for me, I already have quite a few legendaries in a bank class waiting to be given out, and i'm certainly planning to get more to help people who have lost higher tier items. We also have a Librarian already working on collecting items for lower leveled players. And about the skeptics, yeah it's a reasonable question, but it would be a shame to waste 3 years just to steal a bunch of items.

 

I didn't even think to mention how long you'd been around, but that's a valid point. Also really digging the rainbow font for "positive". I chuckled a little and I read it in a heavily synth-laden jazz voice. xD

Also i'm trying to update the Item counter right now but the wifi up here is picky and decides to only work at around 11PM to 3AM

 

That's pretty screwy. At least you're out doing something instead of sitting around at home. Adventure and all that, yeah? Hopefully you'll have some fun. :)
