Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Break it? You mean the inhibitor?" Eve asks.

 

"Duh. I can't bust advanced tech."

 

Eve turns around.

"Are you implying you're planning to damage and/or break the inhibitor?" Eve asks, serious.

 

"I'm not implying anything. I'm saying it, like you need to start doing around here."

 

"Start doing what?" Eve asks, confused.

 

Neal sighs.
"Fucking hell, did they program fake incompetence into you too?" She grunts.

 

Eve puts a hand to her ear, turning away and speaking quietly.

 

Neal just leaps off the side of the castle.

 

Eve watches to see if she does anything to prevent her death.

 

By the time Eve looks over, she's gone.

 

Eve just continues to monitor the inhibitor, before flying down to the edge of the respite and checking it over.

 

It just serves as an edge from the dead ruin to the living respite.

The edge starts to wobble, though, just like when the inhibitor was destroyed.

 

Eve immediately fires a barrage of precise shots directly toward the inhibitor, anything the shots hit becoming paralysed and falling unconscious with powerful toxins.

 

She hits the inhibitor.

Neal walks up to Eve.
"All of this has to be my fault in your eyes, isn't it?"

 

The shots deal no damage to the inhibitor.

"No, but considering the inhibitor showed signs of damage, and you implied desire to damage it, you are one of the first suspects." Eve says, gun-hand pointed at Neal.

 

Neal smiles.
"What is the fuel it runs on?"

 

"That information is classified, though it is not souls." Eve says.

 

Neal suddenly turns serious.
"You mean... I can stop hiding?"

 

"You're one of the royal family who has hidden from their eye so your soul wouldn't be harvested?" Eve theorises.

 

Neal sighs.
"Forget it. I'm not telling you until I get a name." She says, using the ruin as fuel for a spell.
