Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Alright, I'll go get them for you." I say, smiling before disappearing.

A male forest guardian arrives at the doorway, "Oh, hello there! You must be Perry. My name's Charlie, I'll be looking after you with Lily here." He says, smiling.

 

"Lowland scavenging or eating corpses."

"Hi Charlie! Nice to meet you! I can't wait for you to meet Wolfie and Missy Maralune!" Perry says happily.
Seems her mantis toy already went off exploring in another room.

 

"Who are they?" Charlie asks kindly.

The mantis toy finds themselves in the kitchen, the counters cleared and ready to prepare food on.

 

"They're my toys! Hey..."
Perry pauses.
"Missy Maralune says she's looking around the house. She's passing through the kitchen!"
The guardians can hear slight squeaking noises from there.

 

"Oh, are they golems?" Lily asks, smiling as Charlie heads into the kitchen.


I look around Perry's room for the rest of her toys, checking on different planes of reality at the same time to aid my search.

 

"No."

Charlie sees the mantis toy squeak a bit as they head into the next room, moving slowly but clearly alive despite having no soul.


'Wolfy' is sitting right where they usually are, and the other toys are either in her toybox or within a stack of handmade games in her closet.

 

"Oh, you're a strange little toy." Charlie says, walking over to the mantis toy and picking it up, looking it over.


I pick up 'Wolfy', before taking out four crystals and placing two diagonally apart on Perry's toybox and closet, before activating them and desummoning them both, before disappearing.


I appear inside the living room of Perry's new home, summoning the closet and toybox before putting Wolfy down and heading back to the front door.

"I've put your toys and your closet in the living room." I say to Perry, smiling.

 

The toy slowly struggles a bit, light as you'd expect an inflatable to be.
"Please, put me down." They say telepathically.


"Thanks, mister Aj!" Perry says happily. "Where's my room?"

 

Charlie, a little startled, puts the mantis toy down.


"Oh, I can show you that now if you'd like!" Lily offers happily.

 

"Thank you." They say, slowly pushing the door to the next room open and continuing their exploration.


"Please! You can at least meet Wolfy while we're there!"

 

The door leads to a large dining room, a decorated chair next to the table clearly intended for Perry.


"I'd love to meet Wolfy." Lily says, smiling and guiding Perry through the house, heading past the kitchen and through the living room to a staircase running beside it.

 

The mantis toy keeps on moving through the house, getting a feel for the layout.

Perry beams, trying to rush Lily up the stairs.

 

Next to the dining room appears to be a washing room, a washing machine and dryer as well as high shelves containing washing powders and other related items on them.


Lily chuckles, hurrying up the stairs and down a corridor to a door with a wooden sign saying 'Perry' hung on it.

"Here's your room!" Lily says, opening the door for Perry.

 

Toy Maralune heads upstairs, squeaking as they go.


Perry darts in and happily flings herself on Wolfy, laughing.

 

Some of the second floor overhangs the living room, and a large window is at the top, overlooking the extremely large garden, or rather, field. A forest can be seen at the end of it separated by a river.


Strangely, the bed Perry flings herself on isn't Wolfy, but a normal bed. A window is on the left side of Perry's room, sunlight pouring through. Perry's wallpaper seems to be themed around the night sky, a dark forest and grass near to the floor, dark blue sky in the middle and stars at the top, extending over to the ceiling. The light in Perry's room seems to be shaped like a moon, and a large bookshelf resides near to Perry's bed, full of books made for children, as well as some thick looking fantasy ones. A TV is hung on the wall in Perry's bedroom opposite her bed, a shelf under it containing the remote.

"What do you think of your room?" Lily asks, smiling.

 

Toy Maralune just looks at the view, amused.


"...When's Wolfy coming?" Perry asks, looking for her toy.

 

"Didn't Aj say they were downstairs?" Lily asks.

As if on cue, I walk in carrying Wolfy.

"I thought you might want your bed-toy in your bedroom." I say, smiling.

 

She runs up and hugs you, then Wolfy, too content to talk it seems.

 

"Shall I bring up your toy chest and wardrobe too?" I ask, smiling.

"Oh, I'll help, your majesty." Lily says.

 

"Yes, please!" She says, putting Wolfie next to the bed.
